You installed the doorknob wrong, you shouldn’t have to relatch the door. Your latch is binding or doorknob might be broken. Maybe also check if you have the outside doorknob right side up.

All I can think is that for a garage entry door that has a spring, the "stay-unlocked" feature could be useful. But you should be able to disable it via the app for other doors.

Yeah, I would like to see if there is some setting on it to disable it. I thought it was an interesting feature, but it makes the door knob less attractive if you can't disable it.

@@JonMorganMadness It can be disable it. As someone mention below, you install the knob with the battery in the wrong position. If you take it apart there is a arrow in the back showing you the correct position, you need the arrow pointing up. I make the same mistake when I installed mine. Once I flip the knob in the right position, everything worked fine.

Yes, sorry for the late reply. I found this G2 Gateway on their website: www.geektechnology.com/proDetail?proId=91. I think this one on Amazon is the same thing: amzn.to/3EZQTcM, I just couldn't see the GeekSmart logo on the product, but it looks like the same G2 Gateway.

That’s the things in US they don’t allow inside to be locked also I think for safety if you have to run out due to fire or something

It locks automatically. On the inside it's not locked, but on the outside it's locked when you close the door. Only when you use your fingerprint, app, or key can you open it on the outside.

Your wife is beautiful. (wallpaper lol) can you turn off the beep???? I hear there are some smart apps that will but wasn't sure if I needed a gateway to get an app to turn off the beep or if there's an app w/ bluetooth to disable that beep. Someone said Tuya should be able to?
