Why? You pay for it.😅 Just idiots care about brutal power. All advances are directed to software. And nvidia makes software, not hardware.Currently the only purpose of your hardware is to support your software. If you go for 40 series is because you going to apply dlss3 😅. Not for nothing you can see places with 1000 devs investigating algorithms. Because we are currently running out of raw material for hardware. Courtesy that now even toilets have a microchip.
@Im_ActionZ you mean the same latency as with it off? You would have to be a massive snob to refuse to play at a higher framerate because the latency isn't as improved as non-DLSS frames. But then, I find people who feel that way generally are
Well considering the 3070ti was one of the least power efficient gpus in the 30 series drawing almost as much as a 3080 but still being 20 percent slower. It shouldn't be shocking that the 4070 uses such little power in comparison
notice they don't say what resolution or settings or if dlss is enabled or frame generation. because I'll guarantee in sheer rasterization performance there isn't a massive difference just like every other 40 series card
well the difference between my gtx 1650 and rtx 4070 would be astronomical so maybe i'll go for 4070 Update: 2023/12/28 I got it. I finally got it. In short terms, RTX 4070 is a beast.
@@Games_and_Tech how does it feel, im still need to think wether to buy rtx 3070 or 4060, i just want to know does this FG really helped the game performance + how input lag feel, because higher input lag, means youre playing at lower framerates.
@@sussy_61 the lower end of nvidia doesn't make any sense, my advice will be a radeon 7800xt, they have their frame generation technology, but just raw power its better than 4070 for 500
@@Games_and_Tech you have $300 to spend on a gpu? buy a $500 gpu! insane advice mate. 4060s are 280 here and for 40 more it's a much better deal than the 7600 cause upscaling is usable on the 4060 unlike the 7600. dlss and fsr are similar at high resolutions but at low resolutions dlss is a lot better
Just ordered a new desktop build with one of these, will be a nice upgrade from the previous two years of using a laptop with a 3060 in it (great laptop card though).
It takes an avg of 4.6 Watts for rtx 3070ti to produce a frame whereas it takes an avg of 1.8 Watts for rtx 4070 to produce the same frame. An efficiency gain of 250 %
@@mohammadaasim3861 not worth upgrade from 3070, especially if still using a dlss 3, But good upgrade from RTX 3060 (if the price can lowered to $500)
@@JoseAntonio-pb7nd yeah sure if you’re delusional, the new generation cards still outperform the old ones albeit not by much but it’s still better performance. You’re coping too hard bro.
In other words: they got double the framerate by showing 1 fake frame between every real frame, with frame gen. That’s very sad because that means pure rasterized performance has stayed the same.. maybe even got worse
I don't understand where the idea that "frame generation is bad" comes from. From my experience, there's no noticeable difference in quality with or without frame generation. The visual quality remains consistent, and regarding input latency, I haven't noticed any increase when frame generation is enabled. It seems to perform just as well as when it's turned off. Therefore, I don't see the basis for the criticism against frame generation, as it appears to enhance the visual experience without any significant drawbacks.
Unfair comparison aside, here’s a summary of the comments so you can save some time: - If you’re between these two gpu’s, go for the 4070 if the price gap is low enough in your region. - If you already have a 3070ti, don’t bother upgrading now - If you’re looking for a gaming laptop, DO NOT buy one with a 4070. Technology is not great enough for this generation of laptops and the 4070 is pretty handicapped. It performs similarly to a 4060ti or worse, and it usually costs almost double of an 3070ti laptop (that has more raw power)
In my region a laptop with 3070 (not even ti) cost as much as one with 4070, but the one with 4070 has a 13th gen i7 and not a 12th… its very confusing to buy right now. Honestly i cannot afford a 3070 or 4070, and same problem i have for the 3060/4060.. but i will probably buy an i7 13 with 4060 as i will not use for gaming only (so i do not care about bottleneck so much)
People who say negative things about frame generation have either 30 series or older model or AMD cards and they are butthurt. Gentlemen don't worry. Go to work and you will be able to afford it.
Comments going crazy about frame gen , bruv in the video is literally playing story mode game , who cares about latency on those games? Competitive e sport games run 100fps+ even on ancient hardware so whats the big deal?
This is straight orchestrated FPS to jusify buying those junk 4060/4070 cards haha i am sticking with my rog strix 3070ti oc till the next rtx gen cards
I believe that the gpu is limited throughout this entire process. I think that the frame generation limited the rtx 4070 ti. If it was overclocked then frame generation would be useless. But it shows how much shitty gpu has gotten and using ai instead of raw and horsepower
