Gel Pad Restoration - Satisfying! 

The gel is a 2 part compound that stays soft like a gel insole you put in your own shoe. It protects the sole and frog from any hard stones and such. It's usually used on horses that have suffered from Laminitis or have very thin soles. The yellow compound was just plastisine, like what your children play with. That was used to prevent any gel from seeping out the back while the gel set up. Hope this answered your questions. That too😀 But in this case to help reduce concussion and to help the foot not sink into soft surfaces causing less strain on its tendons and ligaments.
