Omgosh Trina, this was an amazing day of play. Minute 7:31 took my breath away - so fun! The Nickle Azo Gold "halloween-y" pull would be beautiful with the Payne's grey and Burnt Sienna one 😍 And where did you get that skinny brayer? I love it! Thank you very much for mentioning me and the video - I knew you would create something awesome. And yes, I've ruined you with the medical paper 😂 🥰
Thanks Jackie! I had so much fun playing. The brayer came from Amazon. Search for “skinny brayer” and you will find it. Can’t wait to create with these papers tomorrow. Thanks for sharing your experiments with us. 😍
So much fun and so many pretty things. That small brayer is my absolute favorite, that and the one that is about 2 to 3 times the size of the thin one. I use them a lot for really nice effects. I've also used the medical exam papers and following Jackie's method really does work. All that work she did testing it all was really nice of her. Can't wait to see what you do with all these beauties.... Thanks for sharing, it's always so much fun getting to watch you make such pretty things.
Thanks so much Paula! After I bought the thin brayer I saw the three pack of smaller brayers. I love it! Totally agree that Jackie is amazing in her “painting lab” to experiment and give us new techniques to try. I’ll post a video this afternoon with those papers. 😍
@@MixedMediaArtByTrinatry grease proof paper 30cm wide and 30 mtr long roll only $2! …Works real great for collage ( transparent when glued down)and is so strong. Pulls up lots of texture (use the shiny side) and we get it in most supermarkets here in Aus. Love all your experiments and I agree with your thoughts on TEMU. Have you watched any of Robyn Mc Clendon’s RU-vid on gel plate experiments… her use of Stains and Chalk paints are wonderful… cheers from down under.
I’m so happy you are trying the med exam paper in today’s video. I’ve been holding off on ordering but now🧐….i just might do it! I watched her video yesterday also. Glad you will show the glue down also. Can’t wait! TFS I’ve ordered Temu paint, acrylic and watercolor as well as great watercolor paper and love it all!
OMG! I love this technique! I really wanted to keep playing but I needed to work on other things. Tomorrow is a dedicated art day. TFW! 😍 Oh, there’s a link in the description for the exam paper. I had a hard time finding it sold in only one roll and not a case. 😬
@@MixedMediaArtByTrinaI just tried it on some pretty transparent deli paper and meh, it was ok but I do get the possibilities. Even with fluid medium I had crazing. I noticed Jacki used airbrush medium. Got any thoughts on that topic?
@@swl9270 yeah, the deli paper isn’t as absorbent as the exam paper. I wanted to try the airbrush medium but I didn’t have any. I’m going to order some to try. The matte medium worked pretty well for me. 😍
I use gel medium or acrylic medium for collage because it dries clear, it doesn’t yellow over time and it works with many different types of media. Thanks for watching. 😍
I purchased those from TEMU. search for texture stamps and you should find them. I would share the link but they all take you to the same TEMU homepage. 😍
This was inspiring… I too got medical exam paper. I like to tear my collage paper edges and it seems the exam paper doesn’t tear very easily…do you cut your pieces to have irregular edges? Thanks Trina
Hello Phyllis! The medical exam paper is tough to tear. I usually use a craft knife or scissors. You could try wetting it with a brush and water to tear easier. I do that with tissue paper. Thanks for watching! 😍
