It kills me to say this, but Gene & Paul are fucking delusional. What Gene said at the beginning of this is EXACTLY what happened with Kiss. The last 20 years have SSUCKED.

Agree, they went on 20 years to long. KISS absolutely sucked the last 10 years. Same exact show for 10 years. Even the meet and greet acoustic shows were the same

If they would have quit with the first farewell with the original members that would have been great. The last 20 years with different people in make up and backing tracks. Not a way to go out in my opinion.

I had small hopes that Gene will say something about Bruce. This part Gene tried to promote his business and I don't blame him but... He is not a bad guy but I wanted to hear something more, something nostalgic, something more ... Hope next parts will give us a bit more

Yeah, this was nothing but a failed attempt at gaslighting his fans. He said the same things on repeat for 50 years - and still continue repeating hte same lines in spite of all that actually has happened since their first farewell. Absolutly no integrity or self-respect.

I attended the Reunion tour opener at Tiger Stadium in Detroit. With the four original members, that for me was KISS. It was the perfect ending for me.

Wheelchairs with fireballs would have been exponentially preferable to what they actually delivered. They blew the only chance they had to throw the greatest farewell concerts in history. How? By Gene and Paul opening their mouths, berating everyone and anyone who’s involvement with Kiss put them in the big leagues. But these guys are just like tRUMP. Nothing is ever THEIR fault. It’s always somebody else’s fault. Introspection has NEVER been their long suit.

AWESOME INTERVIEW !!! It's hard not to like Gene Simmons even though we all know he's very selfish and self absorbed with himself and Kiss in general but I guess I'd be really proud of a band of that magnitude that's been a top of the Rock world for what 50 years .I had a feeling he was not gonna just retire and disappear from public view altogether .honestly I don't think they would have shut it down like this had they not been caught or called out on using all the backing tracks .let's face it Gene was having a hard time preforming in all his heavy stage gear .it was probably really affecting his health .have seen videos of shows that he had to sit down on a chair in the middle of a show to rest and get his bearings .seriously that was not a good look either .think he can handle playing shows without all that gear and makeup on .Gene is one of the most dedicated musicians in Rock History so yeah knew he wouldn't be able to quit if he could carry on in some capacity .

Yep. They hid it As much as they could and wrung out every last dollar from people who didn't get to see them 30 40 50 years ago. Who don't know any better. There's nothing like Paul Stanley singing 100,000 years in 1975. Top of the heap. But yep, you're right. They couldn't have done it another year unless it was just all on tape which it was about 70% as it is.

KISS should have hung it up in 2012. When Paul's voice became shrill and damaged, things took a dramatic left turn. Either the surgeries didn't work, or Paul didn't take nearly enough time and rest for his vocal cords to heal. Then the downtuning happened. Then Gene started really packing on the pounds in 2015-2016. Then in 2018 Paul's voice REALLY began to suck when Eric had to help him through most of the songs. A 5-year long End of the Road Tour was sad when Paul had mimed the entire show save for the very beginning of Detroit Rock City. I saw them come through NYC 3 times on the EOTR Tour (2019, 2021 at the Biography: KISStory Premiere, and the Final Concert). Had the shows not been an immediate train ride home to my apartment, I wouldn't have gone

@@artistsonrecord They did in 2009 and 2010. The final show was great, and it was awesome seeing how the EOTR show changed from 2019 to 2023. That said, I don't think they went out "on the top of their game." Tommy did. Eric did.
