Love the gem of an interview.....I always figured KISS always went by the old "Keep It Simple Stupid" just because they`ve always been a part of us,a part of the whole fan experience and to try and not outthink themselves that so many bands have tried to do and usually failed miserably......Great catch...By the way, bought both "KISStory" coffee-table books and each of `em cost half a damn paycheck--lol.
Found some info online about this host and program: R&R was a late night themed show featuring musicians and celebrities. Aired on CNBC from 7/94 to 7/96. Filmed in Ft. Lee, New Jersey
I agree they should have got back to this lineup after the reunions tour but you have to remember they were playing the 6,0 on the revenge tour while they were playing 20,000-plus Cedars on the reunions tour and money dictates what move you make in this business cuz it is again as Gene is always said the music business
I've got to say that the host Roger Rose is farrrrr better looking than both of them put together.. and I was always a Kiss fan. Gene was better looking when he was younger definately, but he was always smooth & ultimate charmer :)
Roger Rose🌹asked about a "new sound". Paul: "We're teaming up with the Harmonicats". Wonderful😂 Paul's ❤heartfelt laughter (30:43). Amazing. All in all it was a very interesting and entertaining interview.
despite gene and pauls revisionist history they were on the balls of their asses during this time they needed ace and peter as much as they needed gene and paul
Paul and Gene made platinum album after platinum album after Ace and Peter left. Ace had one kind of decent album, and Peter did nothing of any significance. Reason to Live was number one in MTV for three months before MTV decided to stop playing it and give airtime to other bands. Kiss was at their strongest here. Paul and Gene did not need Ace and Peter at all.
