For those with four wires...........If you know the sequence of operation of the washer you only need one switch. A simple toggle switch works great. Here's how. The white and blue wire, connect together on one terminal of the toggle switch, lid closed. The red wire connect to the other terminal on the toggle switch. Washer sequence, is sensing lid locks, turn toggle on. The next stage is the washer will unlock the lid, the lid lock led will flash, turn toggle switch off. You will then hear a click, turn toggle back on, lid locked. Works great! Cap the yellow wire you don't need it. I looked everywhere and I tried everything. This really works!!
Bypassing the lid switch should be okay as a remedy for a bad lid switch but only until the new one comes in so you can do washing until the switch comes if you need to and when your new lid switch is delivered you get it replaced right away
