two masters at work...this is pure priceless genius ! I'm so lucky to have grown up listening to Phil, Genesis, Chester, Mike and the Mechanics and Tony's solo career ! amazing artists
Call it unique, original, but you will never see this combination again. This generation has seen it live. The next generation will marvel at it, but also knowing they cannot witness it live. Had the pleasure of being at Wembley 87 and Knebworth 92 concerts. The memories will never leave me,,, but still great to see on screen. Pure genius.
Where oh where does the inspiration come from to produce such an amazing track as this. Incredible how they improved the drum solo so magnificently. Simply stunning, saw this concert in Manchester. Love these guys.
Saw this tour in Berlin and Twickenham. Not only was the sound astoundingly-good, but at Twickenham I was five rows back and the LED set was just HUGE! At least Genesis went out on a high. Sadly, I can't bring myself to watch Phil Collins now, I prefer to remember like this.
"A trick of the taill" always remember, this like a better think that we can hear and always remember. What a masterpiece, what a players, what a good thing to hear at all the times.
there are singers and musicians that are very good at what they do, Phil and Chester are another level we've seen it before youtube stop reposting, Phil will soon have a remormial MANS A LEGEND IN MY BOOK.
I feel incredibly fortunate to first seeing Genesis at Knebworth in 1978 and also the 2007 tour, in Berlin and Twickenham. To add to this splendidness, I was also fortunate to see Pink Floyd perform The Wall in 1980 & 81 at Earl's Court and three of their final shows in 1994 at the same venue. A life well-lived.
One of the greatest live bands ever ! Did not realize that , but RU-vid's "When in Rome" concert is on heavy rotation here :-) I hope the guys can take it to the venues at the end of this year
In 2007 I had the pleasure of seeing them at Manchester Twickenham and Paris, would have been at this but for the death of my Grandad, never get tired of listening to Genesis
Saw this show in Berlin and Twickenham, stunning. It's such a shame Phil is where he is now. Sadly, I think this tour was the onset of his health problems, as he was having dexterity difficulties by the time they hit Rome.
Just epic! Will any Group ever repeat this. I don't think so!! Thank You Collins, Banks, Rutherford, Stuermer and Thompson!!!! Not in any particular order and Stuermer and Thompson never get the credit they deaserve except from Genesis Fans!!
Chester is sure loved by Weather Report and Zappa fans as well! The man was a monster on Zappa's One Size Fits All album, and the live at the Roxy shows!
La única pena que me da en esta vida es que , ya no puedo ver y escuchar , este gran espectáculo! Me emocionado siempre y me sigo emocionando cada vez que los veo y escucho. ESPECTACULAR! Que músicos......maestros! Phill , Mike , Tony , Daril , Chester.......Grandes maestros. Muy grandes!
Genius music from Genesis- the crowd are absolutely captivated even the fit young ladies on the 2 guys shoulders one of which - air drumming along -is clearly into Genesis the other has no clue lol
lol i just watched the doc where they came up with the stool idea, and phil sent his roadies off to an IKEA in rotterdam or dusseldorf or somewhere to test out and buy some stools
Been there in Frankfurt. Loved it, but I wasn't too keen on the keyboard sounds. Los Endos was created with Tony's classic keyboards: the sweet tone of the Arp ProSoloist, the Hammond T-102 and the Mellotron. Tony's lead synth here is just a screaming twin oscillator synth with no portamento which was such a huge part of the original sound. Still prefer the Seconds Out version, or any from the 1977 tour.
