I noticed that it will be easier to use a 90 degree 6an bulk head fitting then convert it into a barb. This is specifically because of clearing issues I ran into when trying to put the fuel pump cover back on the back seats. Just a quick note

I broke one of the tabs on the basket when fitting my aem 340lph pump in. I think they sent me the wrong one since it has the hooks on the body and the inlet/outlet were offset but I made it work in there. Luckily no issues so far 🤞🏽

Going to be doing an AEM 320 pump swap soon, curious if the oem wiring holds up to the amperage of the bigger pumps. Also does the pressure regulator hold the stock pressure fine with the larger pumps?

I was getting fuel cuts and then eventully completely dying with 2 bars on my fuel gauge. Not sure if that has anything to do with what you were mentioning about what happens with the high hp guys or if my fuel level senor is bad? Through obd it was showing 45% full as well. I think I was also seeing that theres 2 fuel level sensors, one on each side? Should I be looking at the fuel level sensors or perhaps the filters?

You don't have to cut that third clip 8:52, I used old credit cards in between to keep them from locking again.

So to upgrade the fuel system can you just upgrade the fuel pump and injectors, or do you have to upgrade the fuel pressure regulator as well? I'm not looking for any crazy hp build, just maybe like 100 over stock bk1. I'd just rather do all this before getting dyno tuned so I dont have to go again.

You have to get tuned regardless lol. And there’s no upgrading the regulator. You basically have to do a return style fuel system and add an external regulator in lol. To make this easy for you, just upgrade the fuel pump to a dw300 and get 1000cc injectors. Don’t install the injectors until tune day because they need to be scaled. Otherwise you’ll have a fun time rebuilding a flooded engine

Driver side. The filter is inside the housing

if i use the and 300 range pump will i still need to delete the regulator?

I’ve had people actually get away with just simply swapping it out with the 300 pump No need to delete the regulator

Now on the dw400 or Walbro 450 you will have to delete the regulator

3.8 BK2 is completely different pump assembly.

@@ProdigePerformance do you happen to know what the brown wire is for that connects to the assembly and black wire that goes to the factory pump? The AEM connector doesn’t have a spot for it. It seems to be a ground wire but not sure

@@brandondub242 it’s a anti static strap. Prevent static from happening in the basket. You can essentially just add a extra ground wire to the pump ground then connect it basket. Dm me and I’ll send you pics
