Genetics… A prime reason why some achieve great physiques and some never will? Or a scapegoat for anyone who doesn’t wanna work hard at building their body?
As you’ll find out in this video, the real answer lies somewhere in the middle! Because there’s research to support both sides of this equation.
One side being that your genetics do play a role in your body’s ability to burn or lose fat and the other side being that it’s more likely the epigenetic aspect that plays a bigger role in fat loss.
This is mostly a good thing, because it means no matter how poor your genetics might seem… you can still absolutely lose fat through the same methods anyone else would use to lose fat! However, there’s a few steps you may need to take in order to start your journey properly AND in order to be more effective at your pursuit.
All of which is broken down in this video, that provides both the research AND the practical application you need in order to finally eliminate the excuse of your genetics getting in the way and actually achieve the fat loss results you desire.

This was an excellent video!! I’m so grateful I was raised to eat healthy from a young age. I see so many young children who are so overweight and it breaks my heart because it will be so difficult to reverse. Plus how do you know what and how much to eat if you’ve been over eating junk food since birth! This video has great info and was very well done! I’m sure this is a lot of work! Impressive!

Thank you! Glad it was well received. And I agree, I personally had a lot of rewiring and learning to do early on. It’s not always easy!

Absolutely right I got screwed over both with genetics and epigenetics biologically predisposed to have a harder time but also raised in an environment that set me up for failure but I was still able to lose 200 pounds once I finally got my shit together and just did the work but that's not to suggest that it's easy or that we should blame people that struggle it is a complicated issue

Thank you for this. For me, it's not so much 'blame' but more of a helplessness because I was just sure that anything I do will NOT change something I CAN'T change. The women in my family are all carbon copies of each other. But... I understand now we all have the same (bad starting point) AND bad habits, generationally - and the epigenetics make sense. Understanding THAT makes a huge difference in drumming up motivation to do some more research and make the changes. I want to understand better my 'emotional' relationship with food, and then take it all and make some better informed choices. So, thanks again.

Yeah genetics are a factor but definitely not a cause or something stopping you enough to be used as an excuse you can have a predisposition to obesity which means you might have to watch your diet more carefully than others that are less likely to put on weight but you're not gonna become super big unless you're intentionally overeating and it is possible to lose weight even if you have bad genetics causing it to require a little more work
