How's THIS for a 1,000,000 IQ baseball move?! When Aaron Judge launched this home run to center field, I grabbed my secret weapon and ran over from the left field seats because I knew I could snag the ball from a dead zone behind the outfield wall. This game, BTW, took place on August 14, 2021. The Yankees were playing the White Sox at Guaranteed Rate Field in Chicago, and I got lots of cool footage throughout the day, starting outside the stadium when I got a sneak peek into the Yankees outdoor batting cage. Aaron Judge was taking some cuts along with Joey Gallo and a few other guys. I love seeing stuff like that, and once batting practice got underway on the field, there was a ton of action for me in the seats. I found a bunch of baseballs, used my special device to snag a few that were otherwise out of reach, and also got a toss-up from Gerrit Cole.
The game itself was VERY entertaining, in part because of all the rowdy fans who kept getting into it with each other and, ultimately, with stadium security. Joey Gallo hit two home runs. Jose Abreu and Luis Robert also went yard, and Eloy Jimenez was being fun as usual out in left field. So many great players. Perfect weather. Extra innings. What more could you ask for? Oh wait, how about free dessert! That happened too.
