Gens Ace VS Ovonics Is There A Difference? Part1
Hello, and welcome to my channel. This is part 1 of maybe 3 parts to test a theory of different brands of Lipo batteries. Using the same mAh and c rating, to see if one truly out performs the other. Today I am using my Arrma Mojave Grom to test out two 3s batteries Gens Ace and Ovonics (speed test). I know, some of you may say that one battery has more run time than the other, and you are correct, the Gens Ace has more run time than the Ovonics, again this is just a test, nothing more and nothing less. Hi Dirk, not so easy finding lipo batteries with the same mah and c rating. For me I want to know if I have two different batteries with the same mah and c rating which one would be best. Hey Al, just love listening to you laughing and enjoying the speed run of the amazing Arrma Mohave Grom series. It’s a very good test of like for like battery manufacturers and ratings, so about the motor shaft of the other motor, it did sound strange. I suppose limitations are also in the ESC and what amps the motor pulls, as these will decide what they demand from the battery? Still I enjoyed watching the running and listening to your cheerful character, amazing little experience my friend. Best wishes to you and the family 🖐️😉😎

Hey Joe, the Mojave Grom is just a fun truck to run, the way it handles the lean in the turns. I am going to replace the old 4500kv with a new one here soon. I almost forgot what I was doing out there when the motor shaft broke. Take care and best wishes to you and the family.

The best batteries to use are the ones you have to use! There are so many out there and so many are made in the same factories with different labels. I run what works and don't get too caught up in the numbers. Of course it is nice to see those bigger discharge rates but those are often a bit inflated. Either one you used it was going nutty fast and looked like a ton of fun! I am running one of the Ovanic batteries in my Typhon grom and it is great. I made that decision solely on it was the biggest capacity pack that would fit in there I ran across on Amazon LOL!!! Have fun with the mini Mojave Al!!

Hi Addam, I agree with you the batteries you use is the best, I have Zeee's, Hoovo's, Ovonics, Gens Ace and two Power Hobbies. The larger batteries with the higher discharge rating is great for longer run time and more power off the strart. I will look for a 4 and 6s lipo that have the same mah and c rating as my Zees and Hoovo's I really want to know if there is a difference in the batteries with the same specs. I think the Mojave Grom is going to be my favorite small scale basher when the family comes over. Take care and have a wonderful week.

@@sparetimerc 4S? Wow. Show the electric for me. I need something around 12 volts. But I only have a max 7.4 volt ESC. I want to upgrade but don't know which one to choose. Thanks bro.
