There are AR10 speedruns too. The route we use in those has a bit of randomness involved but it's still faster to do so if you aim for AR10

@@Anemion yes, thankyou, i saw those, but my goal is that if i get a good account to continue to follow this run so i can also finish the prologue as fast as possible too, the changes i make have little to no impact on following the full run as a whole since im not actualy trying to speedrun just do it faster XD my first few trys actualy had me collecting 4 more anemoculi then you do simply because i cant control myself from running off the path XD (tho thats how i found out i could reach ar10 at the point of the 3rd statue because im bad at following things exactly :p) the things i skip are stuff like how many lizards i get or what not just cause running after them is actualy real hard for me XD sorry for rambling :p

Thanks! You can find the guide on src : www.speedrun.com/gi/guide/ey9zq Beware, the guide lacks any visual or map. It doesn't go into much detail over which chest to get/skip or even what the pathing is. It instead only give directions to how much xp to get or which are things you need to do at that time. Honestly, I doubt the guide is good enough for people to learn the route solely from reading it. It would be much better to look at this run and use the guide as reminder notes. It took 2 months to make the initial route (pb of 3h08min in 1.1), then a week or two to toy with the content 1.2 brought in and make modifications to get the route as it is now. I don't know how long it would take to learn as I learned the route at the same time I made it but probably not much more than a week. The first part is very similar to AR10, if not able to learn Prologue%, this is a good place to start.

@@Anemion yeah for sure! I've been watching your speedrun and enjoying it so much. I think that making a detailed guide about all the chests that you need would be exhausting to do and this notes are just what i need to learn and give room to new routes and improvements. Thank you so much!

@@Anemion Oh ok. I guess I was wondering if you would wish during your run because randomly getting a super powerful weapon might improve your time.

@@Quarter_Turn Oh I didn't realised you meant it that way. Wishing (whether it is for weapons or characters) is forbidden during a run for fairness between runners. But assuming we could wish freely, it would take a lot of time for very low chances to get a usable weapon/character. In the shorter categories (AR7/10) the menuing time is too long for any of the benefits. In Prologue%, even getting a 5* character wouldn't make a difference in dps over Kaeya (although some Electro/Pyro character could be an upgrade over Lisa/Amber, yet unecessary). An other issue with wished weapons they requires mob drops to be upgraded and we don't get any. After AR15, their dps would be lower than an upgraded Prototype Rancour.

You have to make a new account each attempt. To make an account you also need a valid, unused mail address. Like you said, it's a tedious process but there are ways to make it faster. The main issue I had with Genshin was probably how inconvenient it is to practice a specific segment because most of the things you do in the world are a one time action only.

I'm not the best at Bhops but I'm gonna try to give you some tips. Basically, you start Bhoping by doing a running jump then you input another jump right before you land(you have a 5 or 6 frames window to do this) and you repeat this indefinitely. You can keep Bhoping even when out of stamina. The flater the terrain the easier it is to do Bhops. An important note, not every character can do bhops, it depends on their jump animation. Most female characters won't be able to Bhop efficiently, most male characters are. Lastly, Genshin is an "always online" game, your ping can hinder your performance meaning that your Bhops chain can get broken by a high ping, lag spikes, packet losses or because of frame drops due to your game loading certain areas. Bhops is only the second fastest way of movement (according to my tests). The best way to move around quickly is simply by run dashing with an adult male character (ie. Kaeya).

Thank you for proving this. I could be wrong but I still think in a perfect flat terrain, consistent teen male bhop is faster by a slim margin.

To test the differences in run speed I timed the travel from Mondstadt entrance to Windrise statue. It is mostly flat terrain and it takes a bit less than a minute to get there. I know I'm not the greatest at Bhops but even with almost flawless runs (using Traveler or Kaeya) I couldn't beat a running/dashing Kaeya.

Let me start by saying this question could not have been asked at a better time. A short answer would be yes for "casually in 3 days" and no for "in 3 hours". Giving an answer to "How fast can you reach AR30 ?" is a bit more complex. In just finished streaming a Chapter1% speedrun on Twitch where I reached the end of Chapter 1 Part 4 from a new account in short of 11 hours (roughtly equals to AR29 1/2). My run was filled with mistakes and my route wasn't the most optimal so I fully expect people to be able to do the same around an hour faster. While I did this in a single session it doesn't guarantee it is the fastest method. Someone playing less over multiple days will have access to more daily commissions and more resins than I had. The extra resin won't make a much of a difference in my opinion but the daillies could. To give actual numbers, in my run I get an average of 100xp/min. Commissions gives a total of 1300xp between AR16 and AR25 (1400xp between AR26 and AR35), if you manage to clear commissions and report to the guild in less than 13 (14) minutes then you'd have a definite advantage over my run. I spare you the details but to reach AR30 you have to find around 45000xp by yourself using non-mandatory quests, chests, collectibles, daillies, resin, etc. In other words even with the advantage provided by dailles you still have to do a lot by yourself. With my current knowledge, if someone claims to have reached AR30 in less than 10 hours of playtime they are most probably mis-remembering things. Anything between 10h to 13h is credible for someone knowing what he is doing, having a solid plan and executing it decently. Around 15/16h is what I would give to a very fast casual playthrough to reach AR30. While we're on the topic of reaching milestones fast, here's the same for the "How long to reach AR40?". Before 1.6 it was technically possible to reach AR40 in a single week but it pretty much required a 100% completion of the game (yes including all the chests) and spending all the resin available. Since the introduction of Inazuma it is still no small feat but easier to achieve within a week nontheless. It does require you to clear a large portion of the game though.

This is a feature if you play on a controller. When opening the map, pressing LS will select the waypoint closest to the adventurer guild if you have a reward available there.

I'm not sure if I would say yes. Genshin is a pain to speedrun: there's minutes of unskipable cutscenes and dialogues right at the start, gameplay is a bit bland compared to other a-rpgs, almost no skips nor speedrun techs and you can't train easily. For me the main point of interest was the routing of the longer categories. Genshin is an open world where you have to collect a large amount of xp through exploration, quests and completing milestones, similar to a Mario Odyssey if you will.

I try to use controller over a keyboard as often as I can to limit the strain on my hands. Beside this, in Genshin I find the console interface faster to navigate in compared to kb/m. I have a garbage aim with a controller though. Ideally I would be playing using both kb/m and controller but this game doesn't support it.
