Genshin NEEDS to CHANGE! 

This totally makes sense I remember when the genshin drama was all what people would talk about but then it just disappeared and everyone forgot about it the Fontaine archon quest was a huge improvement though but I really think a skip button would be great they even have it in Honkai impact so they know they can add it and just refuse and people talk about like if they add a skip button it will kill the game many people don’t even play for the story and it would just be really helpful for people who just play for the combat or exploration.

Your vid pretty much sums up why the "Genshin Could Never" meme is a thing. I like Genshin, but I can't defend it for all the things it could do but doesn't bother to improve on.

6:45 omg YES. People who know anythign about HI3rd will know about the Himeko incident. Final Lesson is from 2015 and people still talk about it and get sad everytime. You can't recreate that emotional connection and impact with a throwaway npc. Also heavily agree on Paimon. Pls don't repeat the dialogue 5 times to me. Due to the lack of a skip button, there's no choice but to sit through it to begin with 😐 also agree on the events. Albedo's background lore is insane. Childe had two story heavy events that build a bit of a friendship with him and new players won't even know that he was in Inazuma. The Kazuha quest you mentioned.. which also had such cool presentation with the shadow theater effect and island-like regions. This was so relatable, I think you really nailed it

To this day I can’t stand it when people say “but” or “they can’t” about this game. They can improve the resin, stop giving the company more excuses. If they can and should. They Should because they Can. Not because they can’t, those people need to stop doubting and realize they deserve better and it doesn’t matter if some big corporation says otherwise, they aren’t the boss of you, tell it how it is, go against cruelty and unfairness , don’t doubt that this game can’t change or that they aren’t being unfair or cruel because of x, y, z, and so on. They are, please stop giving them excuses by the works of your own tongue and thus allowing them to continue prospering over your suffering when you and everyone can simply realize maybe just maybe everyone deserves better and no one should just let some big corporation do whatever they want. Truly, even a small army can wipe out a nation. Maybe what I say will be forgotten or whatever history repeats time and time again. But the truth is doubt is one of the many reasons why things are worse, not everyone knows everything so why try to give some stupid corporation an excuse ? What ? Because you’re scared you might upset them or someone? Get out of your throne and whip out your sword already , because even God himself knows everything , not you! Not me! including the fact everyone doesn’t know everything everytime, anywhere. God does, only he knows, so get a grip over some stupid video game company that’s emotionally dense and disingenuous, don’t pretend you know everything and thus you can treat anyone however you want, a company is literally doing what it wants, you have more than a right to hate it do you not? You have more than enough power to demand change do you not? Are you not righteous enough to disregard THEIR desires over you? They can easily put what you need and want, but they choose not to for selfish reasons, plain and simple, no need to overthink it at all. So get a grip and shout out your fustrations to the company, not yourselves. I would like to see a change more than most by the looks of it, just depends on everyone else, and considering how the world works, eh. I’m not going to write an essay over something too simple and helpful that can be easily overthought and overlooked. Besides, If there be persecution or reviling over what I said, I’ll take it as a blessing for a paradise infinitely worthwhile than whatever this dumpheap of pointless debating is.

I agree with your summary on the limited time quests I actually thought about it too a while back 😢 I think they should bring back the ability to do them without rewards even if I had to get story keys to do them I would still start playing more frequently 😅

They kinda fixed the points you adressed in the fontaine archon quest with showing more images instead of text and heck they made paimon somehow enjoyable (just a little tho) the story still has horrible pacing especially in act 3 and 4 of the fontaine archon quest

I spent money and time in geshin impact, but ever since sumeru came out I don't play as often I used to play everyday, but now I only come online when there is a new update or character I want to try out. last week I logged back in and wanted to get Arlecchino but got Lyney in the end. I wanted him so bad when he came out so I just went for him- and I kind of played genshin more than I did in the last year or two, just to farm for Lyney and primos to get to pity. Maybe I will play more often now, that doesn't change the fact that HSR is way better in the farming aspect, having a better resin system would make the whole game better!

I am still an active genshin player and they are recently adding so much qol which is appreciated. But the point of no real endgame is still only addressed with resin... The slow resin regeneration is the endgame and because genshin has anxiety that you won't play daily, the resin cap is still lower then what is generated over 24h. The point about locking in recourses behind days is a point i recognized already when getting to the midgame of genshin. Also the point about story locked behind events, recently they don't try it that much and create more minor but still really good stories for the events. Also about events i find it bullcrap that certain recourses like weapons are time gated through events and some are really good...

But guys nothing will change if we dont do anything :(. The awesome lore being wasted by lazy writing and aweful quest interactions , i hate ir so much. It could have been soo fucking epic. We players need to protest about this, frankly i dont care abour the rewards just let me live the story man :(. LET US TRY TO PROTEST AND FORCE HOYOVERSE TO MAKE CHNAGES!!

as a new player with not that much time to play, what frustrates me the most us getting new limited banner 5-stars that i absolutely cannot use. they give you the materials to get them to 40, but you are on your own after that. which is fine, except as a low time spender, it will literally take me weeks to get materials if i try to naturally play the game and not rush through areas and story. so my choice is rush through content or just leave my new character(s) sitting on the shelf for six months.

Totally agree with everything just for me i like the story.. and i really want to point out how scamy the monitization is in this game.. it feels bad if you dont spend money and it feels even worse when you do... and overall it doesnt seem worth it to spend any money on this game.. i feel regret for spending my money on this game lol and i feel scammed

the reason that hoyo doesn’t care about genshin is because it’s the game that got them noticed by the chinese government. therefore they don’t care about the rewards for it, the story quality, etc. it feels very repetitive. as a person who started playing hi3 about a year after i started genshin, i was in awe of the amount of rewards

I couldn't agree with you more then ever they need to change otherwise they could just shutdown like all the other Gaacha games in the past plus I were them for whatever reason If I were to change the prices on the Genesis crystals to 0 cause ya know on how everyone wants and to get new and old characters even the weapon their all want to powerup their characters to the max and that couldn't any of the genesis crystal cause how much money we put into it just some stuff their need, everyone is getting way to deep with in this game cause once 2025 comes and tell us the sever is shutting down for good.

I agree more with this video about the rewards issue than another one ranting about various stuffs that are ultimately inconsequential I think it's all about expectations, in year 1 I didn't understand that Genshin was a casual first, story and exploration game. So they don't expand on the spiral abyss. Their other gacha whale bait HI3rd has extensive end game and HSR has many repetitive battle content... But the story is so tiny in comparison. The focus of the games isn't the same. And it's not a classic JRPG either. But this video complains about the story execution well which is a hit or miss in any form of media. It's not a reason why Genshin sucks more than any game that have a shitty story. Moreover the devs have been fixing the story issue because Sumeru and Fontaine were very well done. Besides the lore is honestly way better than many games. So there is that improvement at least, and they can't fix the old story either. No VA for world quest : Idk it goes faster without VA but I agree it could be nice to have voice and many of them are better than character SQ. Story presentation : agreed but it's the classic VN approach of slice of life dialogue I feel like? I don't feel like this is an issue since the last 2 regions. FOMO Events : agreed, dick move from mihoyo Expeditions : agreed, restricting grind is shit, but it's a gacha so... I play AK and they don't give me mats in expeditions either but the base give xp and money so that's still better than Genshin.

Reward-wise, HSR is as bad as Genshin is. It releases more characters faster. This in turn means power creep. And that means you need pulls just to stay even. And if you compare HSR to other gachas, well, it just looks bad. With HSR, you have plenty of other turn based games you can play instead, though, while Genshin lacks competition. But anyway, at the end of the day, Hoyoverse is the problem, not either dev team. They won't fix/change things unless forced to. HSR has competition, so they have to try harder. That's the sole reason it is better than Genshin (and still worse than plenty of other gacha games) As to Fontaine's story, a lot of people like it. Personally, I think it is pretty mid. The first part has some good bits, but it does the same thing that so many events do: try to be some other game. In this case, Phoenix Wright. If I wanted to play as Phoenix Wright, I'd play a game that does it better, aka Phoenix Wright. The second part is utter garbage. Boring story, mostly dealing with NPCs you don't care about, in the absolute worst area in all of Genshin. The third part is a bit like Inazuma in that it feels too soon, to rushed in concluding it. But Furina is tragic, so everyone feels sorry for her and therefore really like the story. I'll take her story quest or the Chev event related one we got over it.

Honestly, if they made the RNG better then things would be much more enjoyable, it wouldn’t fix everything, but it’ll lessen it a little..

Those are the Reasons why Genshin is just not as good as it used to be anymore. The Lack of Rewards in each Patch is so ridiclious, no wonder why i spend Money into this fucking Game. The Lack of Endgame Content is self-explanatory, like give us something else than fucking Spiral Abyss! And even when i praised the Story of Genshin, the Storytelling itself is just dumb. It's way to bloated with pointless Dialogue that could be much shorter, if the Writers would actually do Research of how Storytelling is done properly, without the Characters doing a way to long and pointless Monologue sometines. Paimon is cute, but she needs better Dialogue. The Lore is at least good, if they could focus more on that instead of giving us one Filler Patch after the next to make the Main Story flow better, rather than waiting like 3+ Months for more Story Content. And i don't mean just Events or Character Quests. And yes, the Weapon Material and Talent Book Domains needs to get rid of that stupid Time-gated System to make the Flow farming Materials much more bareable. Artifact Farming itself is just terrible, without the Possibility to change the Mainstats it's just a painful Grind. This is why i switched to Honkai Star Rail, because it has what Player want for the most Part and it keeps getting better. Because, the Dev Team actually LISTENS to their Players, unlike Cai Haoyu and his Goons in the Dev Team that just add pointless Features and Updates no one wants.

Fontain is their best story and best to explore everything else still sucks

Are you from USA? Majority of the drama come from that 1 place, the rest of the CCs from all around the world is doing fine. Gacha itself is an Asian culture, its not something intended for white/western audience. Think about it, if an Asian told an American game company that paying $60 just to play a game, would the American listen to them? Of course not. Majority of the Americans still have what we call "Colonizer mindset" as in, they will try to impose their culture to everyone else, i think this is what's happening to the EN community.
