My favourite character is Aventurine! My favourite teaser is Acheron's. Edit: Actually it's a toss up between Aventurine and Dan Heng, especially in his Imbibitor Lunae form.
My favorite characters would be Sampo and Argenti. The teaser trailer would definitely be Monodrama for Sparkle. The first character that I was excited for and loving the characters introduced since.
Yanqing is a very little funny man indeed,but he’s become a punching bag in the community because of how many times you get to fight him ingame- Jing yuan is a teacher/dad figure to him and their dynamic is really cute :)
Yeah that and the amount of lost 50/50 and the fact that his whole gimmick is to not get any damage. All of that seems to be the reason everyone like to bully him
Btw there's no hydro in HSR the types are *Ice* (Ice Blue) , *Fire* (red), *Lightning* (purple) , *Physical* (white) , *Imaginary* (Yellow) and *Quantum* (midnight purple) as for the Paths (class) there's *Hunt* Single Target DPS, *Erudition* AoE DPS, *Destruction* a mix of the other 2 with HP related kits on average, *Abundance* Healers, *Preservation* Tanks, *Harmony* Supports that buff and Finally *Nihility* the opposite of Harmony in the form of DoT and Debuff units.
It pretty much makes it impossible to be X character main because the game throws different requirements on you and you can't just PURE DPS your way through. Well you can through some things but it will require big investment characters etc. Turn based means you WILL get hit.
Long comment but I'll try and answer some of your questions😅 Yanqing's VA is Amber May, who is also Dehya in Genshin. Seele is a German word that's pronounced kinda like Zee-Luh so thats how they say it in EN, but JP says it like Seh-Leh, and CN says Shee-All. Basically any of these would be fine, whatever you're more comfortable with saying Bronya is still the best Standard 5* to have, and she only recently got somewhat powercrept by Ruan Mei and Sparkle for different reasons Silver Wolf's name is I believe her gamer handle, but it's also a callback to Bronya Zaychik in HI3, who was a child assassin known as the Silver Wolf of the Urals. Hi3 is also the game Silver Wolf was playing at the beginning of her trailer. And lastly, favorite trailer is Acheron's, and my favorite character is Guinaifen. (She's the other character in Huo Huo's trailer)
@@blad3thompson more like the opposite, those 2 elements from Honkai Impact 3rd got replaced by Geo, Hydro, Dendro in Genshin, and then come back in Honkai: Star Rail. Well, it has something to do with Sea of Quanta and Imaginary Tree in Honkai

Funnily enough Bailu's actually Lightning. Kind of funny with all the water in her animations but I guess the defribillator makes a bit more sense with that.

"A scion of Permanence" - "Permanence" in this case refers to Long, the Aeon of the path of Permanence. Long's scions are something akin to its descendants. I can definitely recommend turning on subtitles for the trailers as they often show some little extra info bits and the upper case/lower case spelling can help to register if a term has some bigger meaning in that specific context.
Im like a few days late but when toy mentioned about their kits on their trailers, yes most if not all of what you see on their trailers is what they actually do in game lol
about march and her lore - we dont really have much yet but it looks like hoyo are planning something really big with her bc we have some heavy hints here and there mostly about her being somehow related to the remembrance and the garden of recollection (one of factions that follows the remembrance) abt yanqing and wuxia - i once saw someone compare him and xianzhou luofu (chinise-inspired location in hsr) in general with some things in wuxia and xianxia - mostly with xianxia bc of immortality being one of the main themes in xianzhou lore - and yanqing is a really good example of it bc he has a bunch of flying swords, is a martial artist (he's a prodigy in it btw!!) and a xianzhou native (=immortal basically) about belobog - i dont think its russia inspired bc well its more of slavic-inspired in general like the name of the planet (jarilo) is a name of east-slavic god of sun / personification of one of spring holidays and one of characters - svarog - is named after slavic god of fire and blacksmithing other than that its not really deep (as far as i know) and inspiration doesn't really is everywhere like how it is in xianzhou for example about jing yuan - he is the general of xianzhou luofu (which is one of several xianzhou spaceships) and his "radiant spirit" / lighting lord is manifestation of his power that came directly from an aeon (basically space deity) so lorewise he's one of the most powerful people lorewise (arguably but still) dan heng and bailu aren't really part dragon as much as they actually are dragons / descendants of dragon (eaon of permanence) ?? its kinda confusing they are vidyadhara - one of the xianzhou races and they weren't originally from here but still have a theme of immortality - they have their own reincarnation cicles
I used Serval religiously for Belabog and I adore her character, but I really felt like she started to feel pretty weak after Belabog and at higher levels, Kafka replaced her almost immediately for Lightning dps and aoe, especially when combined with black swan they wreck everything. I wish her trailer song was longer, it's great and I want more. Also Kafka = Femme Fatale Dante XD she's so awesome and her kit is great too.
Gepard does indeed use Serval's guitar case as a weapon also yes, version trailers are very good dan heng is the coolest (not dan heng propaganda no way)
No Water element in HSR, there's Physical, Fire, Ice, Wind, Lightning, Quantum and Imaginary. Bailu uses water to heal but she's a Lighning unit (she uses it in her basic attack and for her rez talent as a defibrillator 😂).
HSR doesn't do favourites, which is surprsing, especially when we come from Genshin backgrounds and we're very used to seeing favouritism. I think they didn't want to make the same mistake as Genshin where some characters drop off in later stories, but they managed to fix that in HSR. They even made 4 star characters as equally important as the 5 star characters in the main story, meaning that the major characters in the main story are also 4 stars. (Ik they managed to change that last Lantern Rite with Gaming, but he won't be in a main story equally with 5 stars.) Also enjoyed watching your reaction to these! You'd probably enjoy the story of HSR now that it has blossomed so wonderfully.
