In this video we replace the automatic transmission cooler lines and fittings on the GenX-J (1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ). Hope it helps you and thanks for watching!!
I replaced my entire setup with new aluminium fittings at the trans, new flexible rubber hose all the way to he front and a separate oil cooler. It all works great now :)
@@ludercoarms thanks for posting. I lost a right front bump stop and didn’t realise it. Went over something while off roading in the middle of nowhere and pinched the trans cooler line between the upper control arm mount and the bottom edge of the block! It spewed trans fluid everywhere and would have left me stranded if I didn’t have some rubber tube and 5 litres of trans fluid on board! I decided to replace the entire setup with flexible high temp hose and re route it. Don’t want that to happen again :/ oh, and I also got new bump stops 😂
The replacement fittings were Dorman Part number 800-714. The Replacement lines were Sunsong part number 5801221 and Sunsong part number 5801222. Got them from www.rockauto.com
