@DumaM-ir7rk 8 дней назад
@ aaronbreakfast1420 this guys are trying to get South African opportunities. If this guys are Nguni then why they struggle to speak Zulu or Xhosa or Swati on their arrivals in South Africa. I know they will tell you how some words are similar in both cultures but Swahili is not a language but mix of Arabic and local languages. So as Arabic traders learn the word mbuzi and they will use the same word when they get to Malawi from South Africa. Then the locals would see a white men and assume that is his language when he says mbuzi but he was just trading using key words of items he want to buy or sell. You will see words like manzi apparels to be common and means the same that’s because when they need water they had to use key words for people to understand them. Just like whites assume everyone is Zulu on South Africa they also thought the same about all Africans. So to see what do I mean when I say this are just key words common and how the Malawian got them or Zambian was because of trade with the Arabs, Chinese , Greeks and Dutch. So today ask a true Malawian to make statement asking for water and see it’s not the same like in South African Nguni language. If they can’t make sentences using the similar language but using only key words that is not language but baby language. It’s like when people says in their language baby means nana and mother means mama . This are easy sound that a baby can make they didn’t have meaning but we made them to help baby identify people that are important . Hence even white people use that sound “mama” to mean mother in baby language. Will you say whites and blacks speak the same language because of 10 of few words intended to bridge barrier of communication and the answer is no

Can't understand why they don't bring expert rescue personnel from Gauteng to assist. The quiet, little activity and few rescue workers (200) for an emergency rescue operation of this size of a 5 storey build collapse are worrisome.(should be at least 1500 rescue workers) The many piles of bricks,dirt and rubble around the site also could have been removed by now. The pace looks incredible slow as if they're unsure what to do..Some rescue workers walking all over blocks of concrete,dirt and bricks instead of throwing or moving it to a location to be moved out of way.This lethargic efforts are going to impact negatively on the de-layoring rescue efforts .😢.

@izellefischer7250
@izellefischer7250 11 дней назад
As a local, there is no space to fit that many rescue workers. This happened in a small street and you will see previous videos about how they moved rescue cars to make space, etc. The families are also waiting in a different area and Im sure that is due to space. Please follow the George Herold for updates. Also, the whole building is lying on debris, which I don't know if you have ever played Jenga, but if one piece moved it could cause more collapses. And if you have followed the whole process you will see that the areas they are walking on now have previously been searched and declared safe. (also see how they use red lines to see when the concrete shifts, etc). So there is a reason why everything is happening the way it is. It is so fast to become a keyboard warrior but lets rather salute the real handful of heroes that don't wear capes and pray for their safety as well as the trapped souls.

Your architect, structural engineer (working remotely, away from the site), contractor (the useless one with the bakkie and phone glued to his ear), the subcontractor (the poor unqualified guy doing most of the work) and the NHBRC inspector that never inspects (but charges for the registration of the plan). Illegal immigrants, cheap labour, bypassung the Department of Labour, and labour regulations. As well as issues with regulations on site. Where were the foreman and inspectors 24/7 on site. Unqualified workers? Substanard materials, cutting corners. What could possibly go wrong? HUMAN NEGLIGENCE AND ERROR.
@petrusswanepoel850
@petrusswanepoel850 11 дней назад
I find it strange that if the person was aware of the design flaws why did he remain on site and did not warn his co-workers. If a person is aware of an unsafe condition at his workplace he has the responsibility to bring it under the attention of his supervisor and vacate the area until it is safe. If his supervisor do not want to listen to the advice of the worker, the worker could have reported the matter to the authorities. The last thing any company want to experience is to have injuries and fatalities at there place of work. Our harts goes out to those who got injured and died.

Usually, these buildings collapse when the building contractor did not follow the struct instructions of the engineer regarding the binding guidelines of the steel at the ground level section of the pillars. This would not have been negligence on the part of the structural engineer, nor the steel supplier, who always follow rules regarding this. 1 inch of steel wiring not bound correctly or at the exact overlap length can cause an entire building to collapse. The onus falls on the building contractor to follow the guidelines set about by the engineer. Suspect there was an error in calculation somewhere, or just blatant neglect/ignorance.

You know it is easy to ask the worker he can say anything that people can eat for cake. How does he know about pillars ,concrete , reinforce steel and so and so on. We deliver bricks and I had to go to a building site once to see about the workers demanding that my crane operator put the packs of bricks on the first level of the building or they do not sign for the bricks. I refused and ask the lazy laborer who will take responsability if the slab can't carry 20 to 25 tons of bricks at one unseported space. So ja if you can not calculate that you must just carry the bricks up wheel barrow by wheel barrow and spred bricks evenly where they build. That is all you can do otherwise go studdy then you are in charge and know about load bearing. Stupiddety and lazyness can kill people.
