Yes we appreciate them, time is of essence, they must use common sense, too much talking and meetings, too many spectators this is not a movie, move thoes slabs slowly ,carefully, poor supervision, get people who have construction experience hands on,😢😢😢😢
Its amazing what results competence can yield, hats off to the few EMS, Engineers, and SAPS left who still care about providing a service to us south africans 🎉
Show sum respect people have lost their lives and are still trying to survive and yet sum of u want to make racist remarks shame on ure troubled minds and souls 😢🙏
Well the most important thing here is to get the injured out , the whys and wherefores come later. This is a tragedy and human lives mstter more than anything . I pray for all the men who are involved . Really sorry
It's not hats of and thank heavens.. IT'S HOW ON EARTH DID THIS HAPPEN.. HOW... there is no logical explanation.... How how how.... Things need to change in this country and quickly...
What president would that be? Cyril the snake is in hiding again. He only considers the deaths of gamas terrorists worthy of his attention, not the populace of the country he's in charge of destroying. Incidentally he's only the president of the anc who provided the tender for this BBBEE building project. Leave them to their own devices and they take shortcuts to line their own pockets and the result's speak for themselves.
Yes, investigations on the government project will be looked into. Rescue operations are prio now. Not sure if it's national, provincial or local municipal project.
There might be people close to the supports of the building for is easy to hide from the rubble at those areas, I presume there are more supports at the parameters of the building as it is the norm, they are doing it all wrong from the to exerting pressure on the structure which is already fragile.
He says: "the stage that we're in now is a long and difficult stage because we now have to look for 39 bodies in a structure that has collapsed..." 😮. And they haven't yet formally confirmed that this is a recovery operation?
The key! Questions moving forward beyond rescue and recovery 🙏 .... is what will the engineering, architectural and Biulding sectors of South African do differently!?? To absolutely prevent such biuling calapses In an area that's not regularly affected by earthquakes ... with great responsible checks ✔ and balances. This type of thing really should not be happening in this non earthquake region.
I am stating my opinion, rush the job, get the job done, taking shortcuts. Double standards, window dressing. Health and Safety is sub standard nowadays, many take the lives of personnel for granted. When one does put their foot down for certain aspects and it just so happens to be a friend of those in charge then everyone must turn a blind eye. I have seen this time again. Sad but true. Condolences to those who have lost family.
Poor helpless Ramaphosa!!! After 30yrs he is still blaming apartheid for the anc's negligence. How totally pathetic. SA's infrastructure has been completely destroyed by the anc and they are clueless to restore it.
Goodmornonimg suidafrika please 🙏pray for our bebeatiful cantri it is.already 🙏 so destro not even a post office or trans nett banks is safe and wat about our children and grand childeren please 🙏 ❤️ think 🙏 pray by that 🙏 that palette boxes and do the right thing 🙏
Please guys we appreciate you, time is of essence, leave the book and professionalism out use common sense, move thoes slabs slowly and carefully ,too many spectators 40 lives under that rubble ,4 days unacceptable, too much talking and meeting, put the book aside😢😢😢😢
They take time to talk and walk and holiding conversation and its told only Tomorrow do the rescue work, i hope they do something quick , too many Chiefs and too little Indians to get those men out, and worry later, so they talk first and worry later to get those men out😊
How fast can you move tons of concrete? Think of it as a cake with many layers, except the layers weigh tons. That should give you an idea of the complexity of the rescue. The concrete has to be shifted in such a way as to avoid increasing damage to those trapped.
I am a Civil engineer let's run through a checklist. 1 is there a Geotechnical report 2 is there a Civil platform design in place for the basement excavation 3 is there a structural design for the basement, retaining walls steel and concrete design for columns and slabs 4 of each civil and structural elements the contractor should have signed off the compaction done by the design enigeer the steel inspected for each section before concrete is cast and vibrated with backup vibrstors for this size site 5 concrete test results cubes taken on site on day cast and at the mixing supplier side for the day it was cast should be presented hard copies signed paperwork by the design engineer company or residential engineering on site for the design company not the contractor 6 then the contractor should leave all temporary supporting props in place until the concrete has reached approved strength 28days for columns to Cary the next floor load 7 the contractor should also ensure that a heavy load or point loads ground or stack of bricks is not loaded on a specific slab creating a point load not designed to Cary the load and should plan temporary placement. Temporary formwork for each slab should have to be designed by the contractors engineer of formwork supplier. 8 if all the above is in place then we can look at what specifically happened on the day ito wind or siezmic activity 10. the contractor should also have requested written premition if machinery was used on the slab from the design engineer that the slab was designed to Cary the machine planned for use 9 The onus is on the contractor to ensure the signoff was requested and approved before concrete was poured for the next slab with paperwork for each slab and column beam and seeing as they were at level 5 each slabs check and paperwork should be in place for the bottom four floors and basement I will start at 9 just not to waste time
Your IQ really overworking huh? Show me how you can quickly lift a 2 ton slab of concrete with a 1 ton crane. When they say they are bringing "heavy equipment" they dont mean they gonna park the things on the building. It means the equipment they are bringing can do more and lift heavier material
Strange. The police men shown here are Black South Africans, while the rescue team members are non-Black South Africans. The police force should also get trained to gain practical skills.
I saw a team of mixed race south africans working together to solve a problem you might try to get a more positive perspective about things, otherwise you will be a victim for life
Police don't do rescue. South Africa has rescue department which falls under EMS. Police provide safety and security to the rescue team. I hope you have learned something dear racist.
Corruption is the problem, I suspect the contractor was cutting corners to increase profit. Before you start blaming the entire black race for that, kindly do some research into who is the contractor... Apartheid was brutal to those of us who had to endure it & it's a pity the cowardice ANC has treated its beneficiaries with kid gloves instead of driving for restitution & distributive justice. It's probably impossible to quantify the damage apartheid did on the Black & Colored population, but the consequences are for all see & as much as the benefits for the select few the system was designed for.
The ANC has had a long time to create jobs. Unemplyment has increased post 94. Honest black people admit it. When you have open borders and you promise foreigners job. Give the ids so you get the vote. But leave them also jobless. How is pre 94 to blame. Duh. 😊
@@Fishingforstars My 12 year old brain loves to remind an ANC supporter of no electricity, potholes, corruption, Nkandla firepool, phala phala sofa banking, digital vibes corruption, cholera.
I'm so desperately sorry for this tragedy. I'm as well still constantly amazed that whites are developing snd we are buying on our land. We as people of colour have to get out of inertia and become constructive with opportunities 🙌🏽
