George was and remains the greatest comedian ever. He was more than just a comedian, he was a philosopher and a poet. He was ahead of his time.

George Carlin was a true student of human nature, which never really goes out of style. He also did some acting; my favorite role of his was Rufus, the time-travelling mentor of two inept California dudes in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure, which is objectively the greatest movie ever made. On your own time, you two should listen to The Seven Words You Can't Say On Television. It was a comedic landmark.

One of Carlin’s funniest skit is doing the weather as if a tv weatherman. Hear we go again, since I think that was performed in the 70’s. What a decade!

First introduction to him for me was in Broadcasting School, at the Defense Information School, where they played his cut about the Hippie Dippie weatherman, as an idea of how we were not supposed to act on air. That was in 1968, during the Vietnam war. I have been a fan ever since.

Hi elaine, Thanks you for the comment at least we know where we are with the comics and not offending anyone with what we are reacting to. We will be back with more from George soon. We are going to make Saturday afternoons our regular Comedy release time. Also, just to let you know, we will release anything that is US related at 3PM UK time as we appear to get better views from the USA when we release a video at that time. @13:42 George Carlin, will never be canceled, too many people like him on all sides of Cultural. both Liberals/Democrats and Republicans love him, Just like Al Bundy (married with children), even when Cultural issues are at their worst, those 2 stand strong, and you never hear anything about them.. just laughter ..lol George Carlin was calling out Cultural Issues and even Todays biggest Cultural Issues, as far back as the late 60's.. and has been on many movies, including, a sesame street cameo, I think it was in the late 80's, not sure..

"St. George" is a cultural **icon** here in the U.S.-- we need more people to follow his example of 'stop the BS, just do what's right'..... He used his comedy to point out the gaps in the thinking of the masses and tried to correct their erroneous thought processes..... Alas, he left us too soon-- (BP2; when will **you** say goodbye?? Carlin's "Euphemisms" is by far my favorite comedy routine of his (even though I love most of his material overall.) - it focuses on "PC language", and after hearing it for the first time, I realized how much I truly despise the way that the government and businesses have softened the language that we speak here. I'm sure it's in most countries at this point as well, with multinational corporations, but yeah...If I'm not at work, I don't use PC language. This is my second video I've watched on this channel (just found the other Carlin video you reacted to), and it's great - subscribing :)

You could have watched the entire video you started at and by the way he even said America is 2 continents there are 35 American countries George Carlin is from the one called the United States whether he was he passed away several years ago it is 90s or something. Just to finish off there's no country on planet earth there's never been a country on planet earth called America. Yes, legitimately when our founding fathers named the country in which I live they called it the United States of America. At that time there was no other countries on the continent of America other groups of people were living in colonies of European countries not the wrong countries. Think about what's in America now you have Canada of America Greenland of America Mexico of America Columbia of America Panama of America Haiti of America Cuba of America.

The difference between Carlin and today’s comics is that he wasn’t ideological. He went after both politicial parties, he went after every group, everyone was fair game. Today’s comic takes specific political stances and plays to the ideological audience for cheap applause lines. Late Night comics like Colbert, Kimmel and Meyers openly admitted to hating Trump so all jokes skew towards people that hate Trump. Carlin would have went after Trump and Biden and would have railed against the whole political system.
