watsky writes truly the best poems that makes you cry and cry and cry. listening to this makes me want to scream beacuse i too know the change that is and will happen and too fear to explain the same things to my children and grandchildren about fog about snow. if even i wish to know what snow is like i can only imagine how hard it will be for them to bear. change people might say is good, but they don't realize how we will take it. to know that people die beacuse of change and yet you still say

Wow. I didn't realize I'd stopped breathing until the video ended and I took a deep breath and sighed. Words. This man can wield them like no other. That was incredible.

This is honestly my favourite poem of all time. I go to college in the States in a year and if I can see Watsky - especially if I can see Watsky performing this poem - I will be so incredibly happy.

I wish that there could be one poem that everyone in the world could hear and understand, and that that poem was this.

"The one" is not just a who. It's a who and a what and various other things. "The One" is people and places and things and circumstances and truths. Things and people and places that have been forgotten and neglected and overlooked. "The One" is everything that needs our attention, the things that we can improve, the things that we can change and help if we are only willing. ...That's the way I see it anyway. =@

This is more than a poem, it's addressing the horrible pollution in California(which is one of the most polluted states, look it up), and how it is being ignored or put onside for future generations. He is preaching for humanism, people coming together to work for a better society. But as i read all these comments its easy to see the majority of his audience is full of ignorant people who don't understand or give a fuck. This world will never change.

i like this more that having a "chorus" inbetween each verse and i like that he has the ability to flow in free time and not be limited by the beat. you get more meaning, y'know?

I know your on a tight scheduel and all... touring the world.... but this, is gold. Are you aware of the life of a big musicion? they start off in a garage, then go to bars/places like that, then they get bigger on the internet, then they tour, then they get addicted to drugs/ all that shit, and they end up back in the garage. Hah, I'm from northern Saskatchewan, Canada and people will wear shorts and a t-shirt in -10C (14 degrees Fahrenheit) because thats considered "warm" in the winter.

@riskytim I think owoutthat was just talking about his manner of speech, which sounds like pretty much any other spoken word poetry, or "slam poetry". Regardless of the poet they tend to sound somewhat condescending sometimes. I don't mind it though I think it's just the style.
