I met Lee Meriwether at a Sci Fi convention hosted by Beverly Garland Hotel. I complained not able to find reruns of TV series Get Christie Love. She told me someone is keeping episodes off the market. Sorry I had to wait 10 years to finally see Teresa Graves again on TV. I remember she also drove a Lincoln Continental Mark IV after the Mercury Capri. Many thanks for bringing back this gem. I felt her performance was better than in the movie version.
I owned a candy apple red '71 Mercury Capri -- a graduation gift 11 years later, but it was in mint condition. Such a cute car. I still remember the foot pedal which intermittently operated the windshield wiper with just one tap. I left it on the street parked in front of my beloved mom's house one morning and sadly another driver in a van ran into it and knocked it up the curb into my mom's front yard. Completely totaled it. It’s eerie, the resemblance, the soft spoken voice, mannerisms, body structure. Whitney’s debut 1983. Teresa bows out the same year at a young 35. Cissy even sung at the tribute BET award soon after Whitney’s death. I thought she would be too heart broken. All of her family were eating off of her. She was just the cash cow. She had to feel used. Bobby was too young and weak. He couldn’t protect her from the ravenous wolves. She was like a delicate butterfly who’s wings were clipped. They weren’t her family. Even her dad was suing her for millions. There was no true love and protection just scavengers til death.
It bothers me to watch someone that not only look so much like Whitney Houston but also sound like her, skinny like her, style like her and one say they are not related. How can someone look so much like someone and then you think about the woman who supposed to be the mother and you dont see nothing alike. Teresa is for sure about fifteen years older than Whitney Houston back in those days people had know issues giving kids up to be with people with better life and when I would see Cissy she always reminded me of more of a stepmom or caretaker but never a real mother figure. Its something about Cissy that never sat well with me she the type to have more secrets and skeletons in her closet.

We all are, no question. Time should have just looped between the 50’s to early 80’s and went back around again, never going any further… but there could’ve been some way to get information like we do without all the social engineering experiments and programs like “reality TV”, and narcissistic social media.. Reality TV and shows like “punk’d” and “what would you do?” were just started to find out how gullible the masses are if you perform something in public and treat it like it’s real, if people would believe it’s a real event, and how low people would go to get a chance to be on TV, be in on a secret, and/or for little bit of cash. If they would betray the ones that claim to love, they would definitely have no problem betraying humanity. They wanted to see what kind of low life, depraved things people would be willing to do. They most certainly got their answer. A lot of people Will believe that the situation is real if it happens in public and is presented as a real life, unstaged event, no matter how real it may seem, unless somebody comes out and says so, they will overlook all the forensic impossibilities the prove that it situation is staged. The more emotionally charged the situation is, the more they are willing to overlook screaming red flags of a staged “event”. They have done and continue to do “live drills“ under the pretense of “helping law-enforcement practice real life situations, including reporting them on the news as real”, so they can “help gauge the public‘s reaction and emergency responder’s abilities, in case this situation actually really occurred“. They just never bother to tell the public when their little “experiment“ is over. Ever. Use social media platforms to peer pressure and demonize anyone who can clearly see through a very often thinly veiled “live drill“. Too many people are afraid to call bullshit, especially if it’s an emotionally charged topic or situation, so we see it escalate. Crisis acting and crowdsourcing are multibillion dollar industries. The average every day person is not hiring a crisis actor, or an entire crowd, to pull a stunt in public. Being a multibillion dollar industry, it wouldn’t be too hard to reduce who is hiring them, and where they are performing. They have to sign gag orders with severe penalties for talking, although most of them shoes with “Duper‘s delight“, and enjoy being in on a secret and don’t really care how the public is being manipulated, as long as they get their minimum of $200 a day, plus Uber or Lyft fare. And where do they find these people? Well, that’s why reality TV was invented, not just to test the gullibility and the depravity of the people, but to get a definite list of people who will do anything to be on TV or for a little bit of money, or to be in on a secret, or all of the above. All the rejects who begged to be considered, who said they would “do anything to be on TV“… Those guys. Honest people should be infiltrating that by now and exposing it even more. It’s been exposed, but people say it is cold, heartless, and cruel, to tell people when you can clearly show them 200 points of evidence the situation has been staged. But, Some thing they weren’t told, was that there were of course darker and darker agendas, of course it isn’t about “live drills”, but political agendas, like getting people to scream to have their rights taken away, which they both did they would do clear back in the 60s. Start with a lone gunman here and there, throw out phrases like “conspiracy theory” and “you must live in your mother’s basement”, and “satanic panic” (The only “satanic panic“ was when the MK ultra program was failing, and people were starting to have flashbacks and remember, but none of it is a “theory“, it is all a fact, they’ve publicly apologized and still, after a POTUS apology people will not want to believe that the government actually ran, and still runs a satanic program of mind control… Weird how they added ancient demonic summoning sigils to the electronic schematics in televisions of this century, those are weird patents to read, and the TV doesn’t have to be plugged in and turned on, the sigil itself is a summons, it’s mere presence is a summons, meaning “come right away”, they can also target anybody’s neurological system, en masse, or an individual if they were dumb enough to participate in that “23 and me“ ancestry test, which is derived from a database of people who reported their genetic make up, and is as it says at best only 50% accurate, and it’s for entertainment purposes only, and you could see how many people freaked out over all the erroneous results…anyway, people ought to read the TV patents of this century, and stop willingly giving out their spiritual Social Security number, let alone pay somebody to take it. If they have that, they have your frequency. If they have your frequency, you are a giant target. Nikola Tesla knew this, and was concerned what they would do with it. The first TV Patent is bad enough, but the ones now, it was never invented to transmit information. Information and “entertainment“ were created to keep people focused on the device itself, which alters their neurological system including mood, depression or rage or anything else, can cause a heart attack, seizure, stroke, anything to do with the neurological system and emotion, which is great for them when you augment that with a program to accentuate the frequencies you are sending out…. Anyone that doesn’t believe it’s been Weaponized more and more, and it was a weapon all along, is very mind controlled of themselves. Look around at the behavior of the people… It’s certainly unlocked from programming by all forms of media, the news, which is only there to “shape and mold public opinion and behavior, both foreign and domestic“, but that’s also what TV, movies, magazines, and so on our floor, and of course social media. …and yes, with the “Satanic Panic” disinfo campaign, The dish info is calling it satanic panic, mocking people who each were having their own flashbacks, struggling with that because it’s scary, finding out other people are in the same boat, reaching out to them for support, putting pieces together like the same names and locations are coming up with seemingly unrelated people who do not know each other and are not sometimes even in the same geographical location, they used the term to try to mock the people and say it was just some “mass hysteria“, when nothing could be further from the truth. That’s trans crap, that IS mass hysteria but it’s been programmed by the media for quite some time. Take impressionable kids (operative word take, as they are actually taking kids from their parents to force mutilations and further delusions) who don’t want to be the outsider, and they’ll do anything to fit in, and of course the satanic state wants them mutilated. And they’ll do anything to stop the politicians who have been trying to stop them. Enter the crisis actors, crowd sourcing, and media blitz attacks. I can think of one major one in particular, and several others.
People need to be very careful about who are the good guys and who are the bad guys, especially if they are TV watchers, and that’s where they’re getting their information, they’re probably dead wrong. When in doubt, don’t do with the masses are doing. Don’t let them create a crisis so that you all run and beg for their “solution“ no matter what it is. They did that in the last 2 1/2 years, and said they were going to do it at least, at least 8 to 10 years before they did go ahead an do it, for that particular one by name. They do it all the time with other scenarios but for that particular one by name that they have dropped on the world about 2 1/2 years ago, they put it in the Olympics opening ceremonies, documentation by the UN website, they said they were going to do it. That’s why a lot of people weren’t playing ball no matter how much people were screaming in their faces. Everybody that ran out for the “solution“ is now part of a mass human experiment, planned well over a decade ahead, because it took years to develop it, before they actually said they would launch it on the people, and began to mock the public with it by name at least eight years before hand. After all, the head of the CIA said in the 80s “we will know our disinformation program is complete when everything the American public believes is false”. And it’s been an uphill battle to snap people out of it, but a lot of them are finally, FINALLY seeing it, more than a little bit late in the game. they had plenty of evidence, locations, bodies, but to this day, I’m sure it is all still denied probably on every “fact checking“ website and the disinformation site Wikipedia, and snopes and others like them… give partial truths and a lie to cover their own asses, convince the people they actually are legit which they are quite easily proven to not be legit, but nets to filter out serious exposure… last time I checked they were still lying about it, even though the evidence is accessible, they refuse to change their lies), and “tinfoil hat“ and so forth, to try to mock the timid and cowardly into not looking at anything and refusing to believe the watchdog groups, and whistleblowers, with their own personal experiences. Yes, the human experiments have been going on for well over 100 years, the UN going out of their way to legalize it, when they were doing it anyway was definitely a big red flag and a warning to not participate in whatever it is they offer, including going to some emergency shelter should there be some major event. If FEMA is involved run the other way, don’t answer the door, pretend you’re not home, although they probably will have thermal imaging, you will need a way to describe herself from thermal imaging equipment from above and the side, without making it look like it’s a room designed to do just that. Whatever this scenario, you’re better off without where they plan to take you. Because they’ve published that also. People should seriously stop watching the news and start doing their own homework. And maybe listen to people who actually do when they don’t. I’m sure glad I set aside the need to be right and listened.

Yea, that crossed my mind too, smoke inhalation n burns ....when Whitney died she died being in hot water, apparently skin on her back was burnt because of it..its all very sad...I believe Whitney n BK were murdered n there's a possibility so was Teresa as you said.
I remember when this show first aired on prime time TV when I was in the 7th grade. Theresa Graves was pretty much a TV version of 70's blaxpliotation star (and sex symbol) Pam Grier, with her use of martial arts in overcoming villainous men. But like Grier, much of it was kind of cheesy, and Christie's incessant use of the word "Suga" was even more fatuous and corny. That's why the show only lasted one season. Also, during the one and only season of the series, Graves had just become a devout Jehovah's Witness, and demanded that significant changes be made to the Christie Love character, which of course didn't sit well with the creators of the show. Incidentally, there was another TV series that aired around this time called "Police Woman'" where Angie Dickerson, a white actress, also played an undercover female cop. This was a MUCH better series than "Get Christie Love," because it was more realistic. I preferred this much more, and I'm black.
...the name of the white actress starring in Police Woman was Angie Dickinson...and I agree it was a much more realistic series...though remember that the Blaxploitation genre was never about realism and all your critique is exactly what these productions were meant to be...and many of us who watched with outrage at the literal exploitation of black culture with hyper unrealistic interpretations and perpetuations of who we were for frothy entertainment purposes also watched with some appreciation at seeing at least some representation of Black people where there otherwise had been and continued to be very little else...and some pleasure and even glee at the kick ass nature of it all...making some of these characters, as messy as they were, iconic just for that alone...
joe jones, Angie Dickinson's aka 'Sgt.Pepper Anderson', is a spin-off of TV Series #PoliceStory, that's why she was more realistic, Police Story was ahead of #ChristieLove, by at least 2-3seasons, maybe more, I do know 'Pepper was part of #PoliceStory....PeaceAnLove....

He said when Christy love got shot in the show, right after that a script police woman got shot; did you notice that?.
This episode was kinda whack! Not only did t.v. shows move a bit slower back then, but Theresa hardly had any action except to look like a damsel in distress.
It looks like they were going for a "In The Heat Of The Night" vibe here, with a black city cop teaming up with a white country sheriff. Unfortunately, it's a rather pale imitation. Also, the whole thing with the bikers seems superfluous and tacked on just to pad out the run time and add a little action. What was their problem with her being there? Why would they even care? Still, it was fun to see Brion James in an early role before he was in "Bladerunner."
