We appreciate the shout out :) Quick note - That white fuzz actually isn't mold, its called "flowers of kefir" You can google that if you want to learn about it more. Generally harmless but it doesn't taste the best. Your kefir looks amazing by the way. Keep up the good work!

I've made raw milk kefir for the past decade. Usually we use it in our smoothies, but I make cheese with some and soak my homemade granolanin it before dehydrating it.

Hellooooo Heather, Levi & Kid’s 🥰 it’s been awhile I haven’t been on RU-vid I’ve been busy😀 But I have to say my Brother in Law makes this all the time & drinks it everyday. I tried it but It didn’t agree with me. 😳 Today He actually asked me to add milk to it everyday while he’s in Florida for the week 😁

I love milk Kefir. I have been making & drinking it for almost a year now. It's a drinkable yogurt. I just use regular whole milk. I have several grains frozen for future use or to share.

YES!! We have used it in place of sour cream. It would be amazing as part of the liquid in pancakes where you would use buttermilk!!! I used it in Salisbury steak gravy the other day. ♡♡

You’re grains look very healthy!! I’ve been making Kefir for about 6 weeks. I am LOVING it! I enjoy working with the grains, straining them and making more. Trying to find that sweet spot of thickness as I find mine to be thinner than I’d like and still need to gone on and try a second ferment with fruit.

It never occurred to me to do the second ferment until I saw my sister in law do it! I've done second ferments with kombucha and Jun so it makes sense but it still never occurred to me! Haha

I have never had homemade fermented kefir. Is it anything like the drinkable yogurt you can buy from the store? Your version sounds simple and yummy

Yes it's just like that but honestly thicker and with more pizazz with the bubbles in it. The drinkable yogurt we have purchased before wasn't bubbly.
