I live in the U.S. I love watching these videos but I am so sick and tired of all those tourist that think they’re so funny making fun of the kings guards! I get so disgusted with kids and adults teaching kids bad behavior! These men and women and horses are there doing their jobs. They should be respected for everything they do! I sure wouldn’t last long doing that I’d knock the crap out of alot of tourists I’d be in jail. So God bless you all for your dedication, patience and hard work!

Who pays for these very expensive tours?? If you happen to be abroad go to a travel agency and inquire how much is the cost of a trip to the UK let's say. For a family of four.the UK is the most expensive destination. You will be quoted. These school trips from Eastern Europe and are unimaginable, guides and.maybe you will see a teacher totally uninstered In their behavior, though the police should be much stricter. And the distance from the guards and horses much more restricted. I hope comments will be considered the Royal Guards are not a circus
I am an American. I live in the western United States. I am 75 years old and lived in my present house for 44 years. Every day I thank God for our American active duty soldiers that have served and died so I can live here in peace. During World War 2 Great Britain was one of our many allies. I also thank Britain's soldiers for their service and sacrifice. When i see fools of any age laugh at and mock any soldiers from any country it makes me so angry! Thay are just showing us how ignorant they are!
It's because schools don't teach respect, parents don't teach respect and liberals sure don't show respect and they are hell bent on not letting respect be tought in schools/university. You see how they do the Christian religion and God. The liberals disrespect both. They only follow evil, perversion.
As an ex British Soldier, I thank your boys for sticking buy us in 2 world wars. Not my era, but both Grandfathers, without our American Cousins I doubt I would have been born. God bless America.

I hope the Guards are well compensated! I’m sure the horses are well cared for, but no way would I last an hour dealing with ignorant people. Thank you for what you do, and keeping the tradition alive.
They are part of the military, so they get paid as such, and they are proud of what they do. They don’t just sit on a horse, they are constantly scanning the crowds. I’m proud of them and I’m not even British. Because the USA is so young, we don’t have nearly anything like this. There is just so much rich history in Europe.

No, these horses are trained to handle noises and public transport people noises gun shots loud explosion…! The horses just don’t like limited space when people get to close and keep touching the horses get anxiety and a anxious horse demands space and respect that’s when the horses are showing anxiety nodding head and jumping back and forth
Yes, they do! They know if they did this to their military guards there would be hell to pay. I find any disrespect to a Western civilization military intolerable. Some tourists are worse than others.
Monkeys in the zoo have better behavior than these tourists. As an American, I am appalled at the number of American tourists pulling this crap. The Guards are honorable men doing their jobs, and doing it well. I'm betting that our own soldiers and people would not like it if our troops were goaded this way and made fun of. Remember, they aren't just Guards, they are Soldiers!
count how many tourists are there then count how many are disresepectful. I guarantee the disrespectful will be very tiny minority. If we ban everything that a small minority treats poorly then you won't ever be allowed to leave the house.

You have to wonder why some of these tourists are even there since they just mock and mess around. They are such bad representatives for their own countries. Would they behave like this there? With ceremonial guards of their own presidents or heads of state?
It was nice seeing the the stirrups being brought over the saddle. When riding English, one always runs up the stirrups after dismount. This prevents the horse from becoming spooked by the loose stirrups from flopping into the horse’s side. The stirrup leathers on these saddles have the buckle next to the stirrup, this prevents you from pushing the stirrup up the back of the loop it is hung on. So putting them over the seat is the only option. This is the first time I’ve seen them do it & it’s good to see.

It's amazing to me that many tourists believe the guards are just in costume! They definitely do not understand that the guards carry loaded guns and can shoot if threatened!
Those horse are magnificent animals and the Lifeguards are highly trained combat soldiers.The tourists are getting confused thinking the Lifeguards are ornamental, they are the real deal, mess with them at your peril.
In the early 90s I lived in England for awhile. I did go to watch the change of the guard several times, a few times in the rain. Tourist were at their worst the nicer the weather was. Maybe I'm just getting to old but people seem more disrespectful now than ever.
My husband and I were planning on a trip to Great Britain and including a trip to London. I hope Spring or Fall will not be as crazy as the summer. I'm in awe of the Guards. I know we and our horses wouldn't have put up with this rude crowd for nearly as long as the Guards and their horses do. Good thing I'm an old lady because if someone grabbed my horse's reins they would be drawing back a bloody stub!!!
None of these people could hold a candle to The Guards. If they would go to the museum that is on the grounds, they could educate themselves on the history, purpose, training and dedication of The Guards.
If these “tourists” feel that it is so funny to be to,d to move and stay behind lines, they should be removed and or arrested. Tomb of the Unknown soldier, the guards can arrest and the penalty can be as much as 30 days.

I was raised around horses and I was able to teach one of mine to BITE with a smallhand or foot jester. The gaurds need to do the same when idiots start doing stupid. What a hoot that would be to see. Good laugh material, especially the looks on the faces.
Beats me why tourists are still allowed to gawp as closely as this, but since they are, and becase many behave disgracefully, it gives me great pleasure when they are startled with a shout to 'make way' or by a pair of boots coming sharply to attention.

I wonder if soldiers are allocated a particular Horse to look after or if it’s a daily random selection. Those Horses have a long career in Military Service so must be a wrench when a soldiers contract ends and they have to part company.
Fair play to you young soldier. Impressive demonstration of restraint (personally I would have taken a few heads off with that blade, free meals and accomodation for the rest of my life) but you are young and should not have to put up with the ignorant tourist shit. Thank you for being who you are.

Those horses are truly amazing animals the standard of care and the condition is a credit and the patience of the troopers is beyond belief I would never tolerate the behaviour of the people trying to pull on their horses a credit to all involved from grooms to troopers
I see some comments saying there’s nothing wrong with what tourists are doing. I see some of these tourists laughing at everything the guards do. Why laugh? What’s so funny? They’re clearly being mocked and yes, that’s disrespectful.

Most of these tourists are unaware that these two regiments have battle honours dating back hundreds of years, they served this country with honour and pride ! These young soldiers of today are carrying on a time-honoured tradition that has kept this country free !!! The disrespect shown to these young serving soldiers is appalling, the American tourists are among the worst offenders but that is not really surprising as they come from a country with very little history or traditions of its own, a very new country in the scheme of things but with an inflated sense of its own importance !!!
No amount of money could entice me to be a guard. They put up with a lot of harassment from these rude obnoxious visitors. Thankfully there are men and women who are willing to endure this treatment for the sake of keeping their King and palace safe. Thank you for serving your country.

I have to say that this guard walks the best in those boots. They ususally have a really awkward, treading water sort of walk. But he actually walks quite normally. Good on YOU, Kings Guard.
