Don't feel bad about crying. That to is part of healing. You'll be fine, your strong.

I lived in Paris for three years (in the 15th). When I broke up with the guy I was seeing, I nearly died. Never had heartbreak like that. Was isolated and felt so alone. He was my translator and connection to the culture. When we broke up, literally felt like I was left in the middle of the ocean. It was terrrible.

Though it was a bit noticeable that he was no longer there; felt it was up to you to decide what you wanted to share and not intrude.Just because you are on social media doesn't mean we have to know all your business. The blessing is that you have inner strength and the support of family and friends. Your advice is spot on - be open to new experiences, friends but don't leave your common sense and gut feelings behind. Listen up everyone, she knows what she speaks.

Heartbreak is the absolute worst!!! Can't imagine dealing with the extra layer of breaking up abroad. Sending love, healing, growth!!

You know what makes me feel better when I am going through something difficult? I am not religious, but spiritual, and when I am sad or hurt, I says a prayers for the thousands of people, in this world, that are going through the same thing right now, too. It makes me feel less alone. Cry as much as you need to. When you are tired of grieving, think of new hobbies or activities where you can meet interesting men. Sending you ❤️❤️❤️. You know I keep thinking that there's gotta be a good reason for that. If one door shuts another bigger one opens. I always think that if something doesn't work out it's because the Universe has a better plan for me. Been there too though. My ex boyfriend was gonna move to Portugal with me, I went ahead cause I had a job lined up and he told me he wasn't gonna come after all...he told me that over the phone!...Surprise! I freaked out at first and got really mad, but then I realized that that was actually a blessing in disguise! 😃💕

I've been there so I know how it feels to have a heartbreak 💔 But one thing for sure: he's the one who is losing here for letting you go! You're a beautiful and inspiring woman and I know God has something better in store for you 🙏😊 Just be patient and take this time to enjoy life and your own company. Then when you feel like being ready to mingle I would suggest you (based on what you like to do) start joining groups that interest you. Hey Tiff! Thanks for being transparent. That’s not always easy. Dating in itself can be difficult no matter where you are but extremely difficult during a pandemic. I’m actually heading to Paris next month to meet my boyfriend for the first time in person. I met him online a couple months before the pandemic hit. Due to the uptick in virus cases and travel bans, we haven’t been able to meet. He’s in Sweden and I’m in the US…a few miles shy of 5000 miles apart. So, although we don’t live in Paris, we will be dating in Paris for a couple of weeks. I think it’s kind of cute that our first date will be in Paris. I’m excited and pray that we are both what we expected. We constantly video chat almost daily and have since the day that we met. Paris will always be special to us!

I really related to this because when I lived in Europe for the better part of a year and I was dating someone who I loved, it felt like I'd lost a family member because he had been such a primary support system for me as well as my boyfriend. To have a boyfriend/girlfriend from the culture of your host country is the way to go to immerse in the culture. They act as a shield between us and the culture. I had not realised that it also adds another layer of pain when/if that relationship fails.

Hi darling, I totally get you...in fact, I have been singe for many years as Im still healing from my last relationships living in London( moved here a decade ago but still feel like a "foreigner" if you know what I mean, away from my family and friends) He was my only friend at the time as I was completely stupid to dedicate all my attention to him and not making more friends so at some point I ended up completely on my own, what a mistake! What helped me a lot-travelling. I would just use every opportunity to get out, to go and explore, I fee like Im alive and the happiest when I am away.Btw, Paris was my go-to place, I would visit like 4 times a year haha If you ever in London-give me a shout, happy to accommodate and show you around X

Also for me in September I experience a shift in my home, things break or just stop working. Glad your in tune with your life seasons because most people aren't. Definitely being somewhere other than home, you are definitely a lot more open to new experiences. For me my first ever proper relationship was when I moved to Italy. And he came about at a time when I was feeling super lonely & I felt like my flatmates were doing a lot of things together & leaving me out. Which at first I didn't mind as they were in relationships & wouldn't have wanted to be the 5th wheel but then I'd notice they'd go out together to get groceries & we always all went together to share the carrying load etc. Anyway feeling lonely, had met someone at a nye event but he lived close to the Vatican and I was out in the sticks lol & then dude happened and he was funny and charming and he had banter and he looked so blooming hot in his military uniform... So hott out of it too 🔥. Breakup wasn't great as I found out he was actually engaged the whole time (& I had asked around to avoid such a situation too!!). Anyway my contract was up for renewal by the time I found out so I decided not to & come back home to London. In London though I am just all work and no play. There is so much great stuff to do in London but weirdly because I'm not a tourist I feel awkward going out and exploring on my own whereas no such insecurities when I was living in Italy or on my travels... I guess I just need to be the me I am when I'm travelling, at home #epiphany.
