Would be cool to demo the live cam in a future webinar. Have Mark or Kai control the face over the zoom stream live to test the concept of remote actors driving the animation. Saw that outlined in the documentation on the main page. It looks promising, but I'll have to see a live demo of it before pulling the trigger.

So we tried it and it looks much worse than the regular iphone "ar-kit" capture... and I guess it's possible with lots of adjustment to the settings one could make it better? -- but perhaps we're missing something in the setup? but our tests looked bad. (running a 4090rtx) -- but for now the regular "LIVE FACE" app connecting to "MOTION LIVE" add on in iclone work great.

NOTE: Will not connect if you have a encrypted VPN enabled, just disable the VPN and worked for me. Very similar to Faceware (with more facial options)

Would have loved to hear about new features like this before they get released after a sale in which you bought an alternative. Like I did now with a different profile. But I love that it comes with the additional updates, like denoising for the tracking.

Just yesterday I was thinking about this feature. You should consider a way to export shape keys to Blender or add a way to render from iClone to Blender Cycles directly like you did with iray. Compared to eevee, id pick the inbuilt iclone renderer as it is way faster. I just also wanna know how you render sharp videos like that with the toon bundle. It is usually low texture for mw

Hey great vid, thanks… Seems like it’s more flexible and accurate than live face app, in terms of how granular you can set it up… am I right?… given that now this seems to be included in iclone and some of us purchased the plug-in for live face link with iPhone, I’d like to see a comparison of the two and see some of these setup improvements on the pipeline for the people who actually purchased it… think that’s possible? Much better then the hacky iphone mocap method i use. Bouncing a mirror to point to the video. Just so that I can capture video to motion capture in live face. AccuFACE works better.

Purchased AccuFace in March 2024. Have not been successful in having it track my mouth/lip movements. I've tried everything (lighting, calibration, different cameras, etc). It is able to do so with my team members. Any suggestions?

In some of the captures in this video, the lips don't seem to fully close on plosive sounds (Ps and Bs). This may be a calibration issue, but it detracts from the veracity of the capture since these sounds can't be made with the mouth open. It gives the captures an "uncanny valley" feel. And in this video it seemed worse when using AccuLIPS. I preferred the capture without it. Don't get me wrong, AccuFACE generally looks great and I may well get it. I just wondered if this was a problem that's easily corrected.

Agreed. If you're going to call a program AccuLips, then it should have calibration poses for plosives and fricatives (P, B, F, T). Ideally, it should have an alphabet calibration mode, where it uses ai to analyze you saying the alphabet (zoomed in on your mouth) and then matches the lips, teeth and tongue to those micro movements.

You can decrease or zero out the strength of the head and even the tracking data.

I’m a there a way to mocap the tongue? I haven’t been able to get it to move. It lays flat between the bottom teeth and doesn’t move at all. I’m only day two, but still haven’t found any info about the tongue. I was hoping it would mirror while mocap recording. Can someone please share how they work with tongue, using accuface? Thank you.

If you are using an iPhone or any cellphone, you need the iVcam tool to capture the video source alternatively. It's difference from Live Face which has its own app.

Yes you actually can one way to approach it is by using AccuFace in live mode, and then using obs to capture the view port and then making obs your virtual camera and boom your got a live avatar.

Faceware only supports image sequences for tracking, and AccuFACE allows videos.

2:49 I am facing issue where the character face does not move at all (camera tracking works fine, Motion link connected). Recorded video does not work as well, so currently I cannot use AccuFace at all. Would greatly appreciate if someone could enlighten me please. I use RTX 3080 Laptop.

I had to restart after head froze. That worked. Reboot is magic sometime. But I see where you noted the timeline. You have to hit the space bar at that stage to activate character. I’ll be back at desk tomorrow. If you still want help, I’ll try to write down steps. I got stuck there too. But I think just clicked the space bar on my keyboard once there.

Thanks for your reply & suggestion! Unfortunately I have hit the space bar and the scrub bar run as it should be. The only thing not moving is character's face. Reboot / reinstall does not work as well :(

I’m new to it, today will be day three. I did get one moving and recorded, but just the face so far. I haven’t plugged in body and hand capture yet.

@@surachamp9394 Ok so when I launched today, character wouldn’t move either. One thing I had active was “enable global illumination”. When I clicked it, to deactivate it, and went back to hit space bar- it started mirroring me. “Enable global illumination”, can be found on the top bar, just to the right of “high-medium”. It’s just one button to the left of “viewport GI”. Again, when I turned it off, and went back through the basic steps, and clicked the space bar it worked. Make sure camera is on and not covered too. I had to unplug and replug-reboot camera too. Good luck. Don’t give up. You’re almost there. Sorry I’m not super technical, hope it helps you. Please let me know what happens.

If you're talking about the tracking result, it will be different definitely. Live Face utilizes depth cam tracking, and AccuFACE is RGB tracking. The iPhone will work with AccuFACE as well, you need the iVcam tool to transfer the video source.
