My company operates in Pakistan. I have watched this video completely. I intend to apply for residence. But when I heard that there is no guarantee that you can open a bank account or not. So I was surprised that my company is e-commerce base for which it will be necessary to have a bank account in Estonia.

Thank you so much for these videos. I find them very helpful. I am just at the beginning of my freelancing career and am looking forward to use the e-residency therefore in order to be able to manage my company from all around the world. However, in the application form I am asked from where my business will be ran predominantly. I am planning to become a digital nomad and travel around while freelancing. Can you tell me how binding my answer to this question are since the plans about my destinations may vary? Thanks again!

There is no benefits left compared to the years before 2014. The latest legislation, company taxation, labor expencies rising and today's high real-estate expencies make the e-recidence values inflated.

I would like to clarify that e-Residency does not give citizenship, tax residency, residence or right of entry to Estonia or the EU. E-Residency works particularly well for entrepreneurs offering location-independent digital services, including freelancers, consultants, digital nomads and solopreneurs. Here are some of the highest values mentioned by e-residents: The opportunity to establish a paperless, fully digital company in the EU; Saving time by automating or delegating accounting processes so that you can really focus on doing business; Access to the EU market, capital or payment solutions; Being part of an active entrepreneurial community with lots of networking possibilities; Running a business location-independently.

Been looking at this for awhile and residency. The translation says capital is Thailand which is confusing. We are a mixed couple and I am old and really screwed up and then I was born in USA and so many issues.... now going to the is not and obviously that is probably the issues most concerning. Especially with banking and taxes?

Hi Steve! We are happy that you found this video useful. Thank you for pointing out the issue in the auto-generated translations, we have now fixed it and it says 'Tallinn' not 'Thailand'. There are another 3 videos coming up, Part 3 is purely about business banking, and part 4 is about cross-border taxation.

Hello! Something is not clear for me. I can start a company as an e-resident, but that does not guarantee a business bank account? How come? A company needs to have a bank account. Where should I create that business bank account? In my country? Also, is there any video regarding the company taxes? Thank you!

Hello, The decision to extend or deny banking services to an e-resident is made at the sole and absolute discretion of the banking service providers, who have the right to ask for additional information as they are private entities. This video is actually part 1 of a four-part video series to help you get started with e-Residency of Estonia which also includes the following videos - part 2: Starting a company in Estonia; part 3: Business Banking for e-residents; part 4: Cross-border taxation for e-residents. So, the next parts should also cover all your questions about banking and taxes. Thank you! I want to get my payments via Stripe. Because in Türkiye Stripe is not working. With e-residency, can I open a Stripe account and get payment to my Estonian bank account(or Turkish)?
@eResidency
@eResidency Месяц назад
Stripe is a private company that has the right to decide who it can open accounts for so no one but them can guarantee that you will be able to open one. Though the e-Residency programme does not directly help to open a Stripe account, we know that many e-residents use it for their business banking. For more information and support, we also recommend consulting with a business service provider, you can find a list of service providers from our Marketplace: marketplace.e-resident.gov.ee/en/service-providers/?services=54

if i want to start a company with other people, do they also need the e-residency to begin? or is it enough if only i have become an e-resident?
@eResidency
@eResidency 4 месяца назад
If you are planning to open a multi-shareholder company, then most likely all of the shareholders will need to apply for e-Residency. A company can be electronically registered in the Business Register if all persons related to the company can give the necessary digital signatures.

Hello, useful video! Thank you. To let you know, on minute 8.06 the speaker says Belarusians with two letters "s", as well as written in the presentation, which makes a serious mistake offending Belarusian national identity. I work in an international language business and for me, as a Belarusian national, it's unacceptable. Correct spelling - "Belarusians", UK transcript /ˌbel.əˈruːs.jən/, not otherwise. I would appreciate it if the corrections can be made in any convenient way.
