Thanks for these lessons! I've been dreaming of having an mpc since 1997.. all my life I wanted a mpc 2000 but I just kept buying keyboards. Finally at 39 yeas old I finally have a MPC, the mpc one and I Love it!!!!!! I love that it's stand alone so I can take it every where
@Hurricane Ronnie I've only just received mine and looking forward to so much fun! Take a look at the XT Powerbank for a battery to make this beast even more mobile! See here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z3vqeZVI250.html
It's almost 2022 and the MPC One still can NOT change track order, as on any of my previous MPC's (2000XL, 1000 and 2500). For people who compose tracks intuitively on the MPC and don't decide beforehand in which order they are recording instruments, this is a pain in the ass. Why is it impossible for Akai to implement something this simple that has been present on all previous MPC's for the past 30 years???
Im completely new to this , I made it through the first video , named seq./ track drums / added the three drums . I lost you @ 1:28 plus I noticed in the red upper top left corner after the house icon it says untitled still. .( & I was so thrilled to have made it this far) , Could you please tell me how change untitled to beat academy? And also HOW TO make a NEW SEQ.2, @ 1:28 your hands drift over a few things , I cant see what you did. untitledIf I can just get there I may be able to follow you through , you are highly advanced at this , perhaps slowing it down would help us dum dums :) thx , dose Akai have a tutorial for newbies? I think your very knowledgable , which is why I came here today right after getting my Akai ONE . Thanks - billy
I recommend first to read the mpc one bible it’s a ebook with all you have to know about mpc one from a-z and then watch those video tutorials, the Bible you can get from searching the google, the mpc one Bible
@@prozakmusic1 I switched to Maschine Mikro , I can play the pads right into GarageBand - done . I'm more of a songwriter than a beat maker , I'm really in awe of what musicians are doing with MPC One - I just couldn't do it . Good Luck with it . You will get it if you stay with it. I would write or go to LinkedIN where they have beginners video tutorials that lead you through the whole process , it cost money , but there are several people teaching ,you can choose who you'd like to learn from .This guys good .
New owner here and for the life of me I simply can not get any sound I make to quantize. If for instance I switch quantize on for making a basic drum beat, it comes out all over the place. Only way I can get it to sound any good is by switching quantize off first before I start the beat. I have to be missing something here??
Help needed, quick one though. I have audio coming into my ONE as seen by the meters but no audio seems to be leaving the main outs. How can I monitor what I'm receiving via the main outs? Thanks to anyone in advance.
Doesn't tell you how to load the kits, which is what I am having trouble with, I select and load kits and sounds and they disappear into the ether, pads light up bars go up and down but no sound. The trouble is you never know if it is faulty or not.
No music theory, just a creative mind. When I was just starting out. Loading up all the samples I wanted was the hardest part and then once the sounds are loaded on the pads, let your creativity take over.
Love your enthusiasm but this is not for beginners I don’t even know what sample your using. So that more that’s not explained to figure out just to catch up to you. Jus sayin big respect for your knowledge
I am having trouble playing the beat. If I play it out it sounds fine but when I record it, its jumps all over the place. Sounds nothing like it sounds when I am playing it. Could this be the quantization?
I see you posted a year ago, but I came here with this issue and solved it. The default TB was set to 1/16. In the video, he has it set to 1/8. That fixed it for me.
@@DETERMINOLOGY wtf not, it’s true, you just carry on doing what you do then. I’ve had to repair it 4 times now coz it’s not east to do, hopefully this time it lasts longer. I’d only had it 2 months. I am expecting another ignorant, arrogant reply………..looks like I got one
@@wul01 Might be your unit. ALOT of people have the mpc and they dont have issues really but then im talking to a guy named wul01. Cant take it to serious. Like the mpc is WELL known they not going to really make a screwy product. MPC live 1 2/ etc yea
Man, wtf at least zoom in on the buttons. Im trying to follow along with MPC Keys 61. This thing is a giant turn off for new people unfamiliar w/ MPC's ecosystem.
every tutorial is just about playing drums which is the simplest aspect of the mpc.. I can make beats in under 5 minutes on a DAW, but the MPC just overcomplicates everything imo. There isn't one tutorial that actually explains how to chop melodic samples and transpose them to different pads lol
