Every year at this time I get super bummed out. I live for the summer, and when the colder, wetter weather comes around, I'm just not into it! This year, though, I'm gonna try and scoot right through it, and come out on the brighter side... Join me aboard my 2023 Vespa GTS 300 Super Sport and I'll tell you all about it.

I shoot these videos mainly on DJI equipment:
• DJI Osmo Action 4 cameras
• DJI Osmo Pocket 3
• DJI Mic 2 (used with Pocket 3 and in-helmet with Action 4)
• Sony ZV-1
• Fuji X100f for stills
All video is edited in Davinci Resolve Studio on a Mac Book Pro

This is gonna sound strange, but I have two recommendations for your consideration, based upon several years of Alaska and Washington State. First, I found that hitting a sauna regularly was a great reset. There's something about getting a good sweat on that just hits a particular trigger that makes it much better. Second...I rode my DRZ400 to the Arctic Circle during some truly terrible weather. The road sucked, the weather sucked...but the ride didn't suck. There were two things that contributed to this. First, I had heated grips that kept me comfortable. Second...I was wearing yellow safety glasses. The glasses brightened the entire landscape. There were some exceedingly long days, and I thought I'd be worn down/beat down, but strangely I felt...just fine. Its like warm hands and a brighter environment tricked my mind into a different disposition. Can't sell it like snake-oil, but it worked for me. Cheers - Jim

I set my scooter on its center stand in the garage. I then project my summer riding videos onto the inside of the garage door. Next I call 911 and request the fire department. Then I start up my scooter and off I go on my scooter simulator. I can rev the throttle, use turn signals, and brake as needed. After 10 minutes or so, the fog is quite heavy in the garage and I'm feeling a bit dizzy. When I wake up, the nice folks from the fire department have arrived to shut down my scooter and resuscitate me. It's how I beat the winter blues!

Living in Texas for 30 years after spending the first 30 in Michigan I gotta say, I am sick of summer. Truly. Always hot here. So hot it’s hard to do things outside. Also, ALWAYS have sunglasses or you’re blind. And you get cataracts earlier than northerners. Move away. Then go back someday. 😅

Here in GB its just about winter proper for some of us Scootering has slowed us down a bit but not for the brave souls that still do, (work and daily transport) you might try (probably have already done) get a beer and look at British scooter rallies vids and Scootering it may keep you amused for a while sorry for some of the accents on the vids we have but it may make you laugh

Embrace the gray, and drink more! Anyway I was thinking maybe you should do a video of what it's like riding in cold weather. I ride 16 miles to work everyday on my Vespa. And don't get off work until midnight. Would appreciate a video of how to dress to keep warm.

Bug ! You didn't even consider turning your channel into one of those Tandy leather or macramé channels. Or you could revive those beer can hats people made n the 70's or crochet an afghan for the back of the couch. I mean the possibilities are endless :O

Awww stinky we are coming into summer in NZ. With the change in climate means tons of rain in the north island til after Xmas. Riding in snow would not be enjoyable and scary.

Make videos where you take the scooter south. Ride during your free weekends, park it in a storage facility and fly home. Next weekend fly back and continue the trip south. Have a goal, like riding to the birthplace of sloppy Joes in Key West. Here in Europe I would love to take my BV350 from Zurich to Sicily...

I hear you. It’s pouring rain and gross here today and I just want to go out and Scoot. Why didn’t I go three days ago when it was gorgeous? I too have seasonal affective disorder and cyclothymia. I think it’s time You put on the flannel lined jeans and ride the Scooter anyway. We need Your random, illicit, philosophical commentary. 😊 Liked and Subbed (thought I did that on the last video)
