I cant thank you enough for these videos. Why are simple things like this are not explained by medics or doctors to help people? I was just fobbed off with pain killers from the doctors and some stretches by my chiropractor. Thanks again.
This is great. I thought sitting was the problem that was hurting me, but I have realised from this video that I am actually hurting myself when I get up.
Just found a way to prevent back muscle spasm pain when standing up from a seated position. Simply place each palms on your laps as near as possible to your hips and press against the laps as you stand up. In this manner it somehow deactivate back muscles from firing and pulling to strongly which in turn helps reducing or even stopping pain during your healing period. Try this to see if it works for you.
I've been suffering while standing up and couldn't find any solutions. I've purchased all sorts of cushions and other things to help, but nothing worked. Today it hurt so much to stand that I decided to check youtube for any advice. Your solution works amazingly well for me! Using your recommendation I can now stand up from a chair with very little lower back discomfort - and no pain like I used to have. Your description is exactly what I'm suffering. Is this something that will heal over time, or is it something that needs a doctor? I'm currently seeing a Chiropractor for other back issues from a major car accident in November but I've just been hoping this part will heal itself.
Hi Adventure kids TV, Sorry to hear you were suffering but glad to hear the video was helpful. This method was mainly for Lumbar disc bulges but often help most people with any mechanical Low back pain. This usually gets better with appropriate care. If you are not seeing improvement you should discuss seeing your GP with your Chiropractor. Is your Chiropractor not treating your Lower back pain? you can contact me through my website if you would like any further help. Cheers Lee
Hi Maeve. Usually this works even better on a soft surface like a bed. You have to keep your body a little rigid. The usual mistake is that people do not pivot forward enough and get there body forward of thier elbow. Once you do this, you should find the softness of the bed is actually easier than my firm treatment table. Have another try, and make sure you really lean forward. Hope that works better for you.
@@goodwinclinicsThe only thing you don’t address: What if you have knee and feet problems along with your back? I have to use handles and make a fist to push off to get out of bed… after a year - now my computer chair handles are too thick for my wrists and hands and now my wrists/hands pop and hurt because I put my so much pressure on them when sitting down and up
