It's literally so comforting to here Abby talk about how she wears her emotions on her sleeve and cries all the time because I'm the exact same way. It's something I always got made fun of for or people were always concerned that I was depressed but it's just how I show emotion is through tears.

OH MY GOSH, breastfeeding and pumping are two of the hardest and most mentally taxing things I've ever done, and it completely blindsided me because women don't talk about it and make it look so natural. Even one of my closest friends who has breastfed all of her babies and makes it look like the easiest thing in the world told me how hard the first 6 weeks are...except not until after I had my baby and was struggling, so I had no clue! I ended up almost exclusively pumping and you nailed it on the head, Abbey; you wouldn't think it, but keeping up with the pumping schedule, how much you pump, the milk supply, bottles, dishes, etc. is literally mental gymnastics. And when you're already suffering from postpartum brain fog, it seriously feels like the biggest weight is on your shoulders to keep up with. My husband helped in whatever ways he could, but at the end of the day, you're the source of your baby's meals and it's your responsibility to stay on top of a pumping schedule and trying to keep your milk supply up. Trying to breastfeed/pump for my baby's first year is by far the most rewarding and most challenging thing I've ever done. I highly recommend using a small sample of your breastmilk to create breastmilk jewelry to commemorate this time in your life! It's such a blessing to have the supply and be able to provide for your baby in that way, but it's a hefty sacrifice on the mother to do it successfully. I am proud and thankful for the journey, but I don't shy away from how difficult it was.

Seriously though. It's one of the hardest things I've ever done. My baby was a bottle refuser from birth so I had no choice. She had a tongue tie that had to be cut 3 times, she had severrrre reflux and I had to alter the way I fed her, she had latching issues and I had an over supply that she couldn't keep up with because of her tongue tie and reflux. It was just SO many feeding issues, neither of us were natural at it. I saw an IBCLC for 6 months. Even after she learned to drink from a cup at 4 months, I was determined to make it work at that point. It was THE most mentally and physically exhausting thing I've ever done (apart from my rough pregnancy). Honestly now though I think if I can breastfeed her, I can breastfeed any baby LOL. I learned so much I feel like I could teach a class on breastfeeding hahaha. I felt so alone because everyone else seems to have it so easy. Even the people who have a naturally easy breastfeeding journey, it's still hard AF. I commend everyone who sticks it out and I immensely respect those who stop breastfeeding earlier on for whatever reason. TBH if I could have stopped nursing, I probably would have given up almost immediately.

I BAWLED the first time I ever tried ADHD medication once I finally got around to getting diagnosed because for the first time I could ever remember, I could think to myself "oh I'm thirsty" and then just get up and get a drink of water uninterrupted, when previously I realized 4 HOURS later that I got up to get a drink and never got my drink. I called my mom just sobbing like "everyone else's mind is so clear?? People live like this every day?? It's so much easier". ADHD medication legit changed my life

Hey Abby! I am an empath, too. I can cry easily and I feel other peoples’ pain as well as their joys. So I am pretty emotional. I do feel weak when I can’t control the tears, but it isn’t a sign of weakness-just a sign of emotion. And if I have an adrenaline rush from anger or fear-it always comes out in tears! Lol! Love the podcast -especially when it is about you and Matt and the extended family.

My parents started doing a famliy gift every Christmas that was for the family to enjoy. It was usually a new board game or some kind of game, sometimes a puzzle we could put together! Starting a tradition of doing a family gift that is for your whole family is really cool! I think it solidifies the family unit!

Our family got hit HARD with RSV at Christmas. Our 2 oldest (5 & 3 year old) were in the ER Christmas Eve & then our at the time 8 week old ended up in the ER Christmas day. It's not just the RSV virus that is bad it's the secondary infections that can develop due to the virus. It then turned into ear infections for 2 of the 3 kids a few days later & then 2 of the 3 ended up with pink eye from it, the baby then ended up in the hospital from developing pneumonia from the RSV & now our 3 year old has developed transient synovitis in his right hip from the RSV. FYI this is not uncommon & happens most often in ages 3-10 & mostly in boys. Happened to our oldest a couple of years ago. We have been dealing with the virus & what's caused now for over 3 weeks & still not completely gone yet.

As a senior citizen, I thoroughly enjoy your podcasts and clips. I look forward each week to listening and sometimes do it on bits and pieces because I am busy. You two are very honest, loving, and kind people. Your stories and easy conversations are a delight to here. After hearing your resolutions I just don’t want you to overextend yourselves. You have two little boys that will grow up quickly so enjoy each and every minute. You won’t get this time back. Pick one or two resolutions and do them well. Don’t spread yourself thin. And keep growing in your obvious love for each other. If you are ever in New Jersey, I’d love to meet you both as well as Griffin and Angie. I’ll even babysit! Keep up the good work!

Not that you are asking for my non medical super natural advice lol but we take a fresh clove of garlic and chop it, let it set at least 5 minutes, it releases good stuff and then just swallow it whole and have water close lol! And if you can take some oil of oregano that helps! And get some organic non hexane natural castor oil and you can rub that all over your neck and chest and nose:) elderberry drops help too! 🤗 On a non natural note using Vicks vapo rub on the bottom of your feet with socks should help a lot. None of these things for your little though! Hope to feel better soon!

Abby, depending on the frequency of your migraines, check with your Dr. and see if Ajovy or Nurtec may be recommended for you. Ajovy is a maintenance injection my Neurologist put me on. I inject myself 1x a month and it has helped tremendously. Which is nice because Nurtec is like my little emergency pill when it gets really bad. It's a little chalky tab you dissolve under your tongue. Has a minty taste. It works super fast. But I didn't want my body to get used to it and potentially stop working. So I'm glad that the monthly injection has helped. Hope you find relief with your migraines 🙏❤

❤Matt & Abby! Every time I hear Abby has migraines it makes me think of my struggle. I was on prescription headache medicines for years and they are so bad for you. I listened to a doctor in our family and his research on “sugar free” items and artificial sweeteners. I know a lot of the products Abby uses have Sucralose or Aspartame or Saccharine. The more research I did I found a community of people who eliminated migraines. It did the same for me too and hope it does for Abby. Of course, I am not a doctor, but did receive this advice from one. I used to drink sugar free teas, Celcius, Alani, Coke Zero and more and always felt tired and migraines were daily.

Licensed massage therapist here! Massage is actually great for a lot of different situations such as a tweaked neck, even carpal tunnel syndrome, etc. They are also extremely beneficial for you and everyone should be getting them at least once, if not twice a month (I know they are expensive, but if it is in your means, then you should absolutely do it). And Matt you can always tell your therapist to lighten up on the pressure, or just stop the massage altogether! Definitely look at reviews and ask the spa you are going to who specializes in what massage and hopefully that will help you have a better experience:)

I didn't have a problem with it, but at the time I was already a mom of 2 and realized I didn't particularly want them to ever drink so why should I? I have the same neck problem. It started about a year after I had whiplash, which I think is what caused it initially. Nothing comes up on scans so its a pinched nerve. Onset usually by stress, sleeping wierdly, or moving fast wierdly. One hour regular massage where they focus only on neck and back and heat therapy seems to work the best for me.

I love y’all so much! I have been watching y’all on TikTok and RU-vid since quarantine and y’all are the most relatable people I’ve ever watched…And as someone who has ADHD I can tell Matt totally has it too lol. The way that everything Abby talks about as a mom, Matt will somehow relate it to himself instead of just like “aw that sucks” or “that’s awesome” is such an ADHD thing that I do all the time and I get on peoples nerves cause it seems insensitive to them but it’s just trying to be comforting or let them know you’re actually listening. It’s so good to hear y’all talk about the struggles of the newborn/ postpartum stage and the way y’all are so open about the “dark place” your marriage went through and how y’all were able to pull yourselves out of it!❤️❤️

I've watched them all! I tuned in a few episodes after you started, but went back and caught up and have been pretty regular every week since! I started watching you both when my son discovered you and you lived in Springfield (which is where we live). I think it's amazing and you both inspire me to be better in my relationship also. 🎉 here's to 2024!
