@Casio Can you advise on the music you used in the video? It sounds great. Thanks.

When does this watch update its ABC functions when left in timekeeping mode for an extending period of time? I'm guessing it doesn't check altitude or temperate at all.. just barometer every 2 hours?

i found other watches update every 2 hours on the 30 min mark. the gwn1000 does that. exactly.

My grb200 does the opposite and idk why... Barometer goes up on a cloudy day and down on a sunny. But the altimeter works fine i dont even

Not that simple...what casio does not state is, barometer and altimeter share the same sensor... Therefore it is only when you stay put and calibrate the barometer to a known accurate reading from the internet for example or an actual barometer that it can then give you these readings... At the same time altimeter readings are affected by atmospheric pressure in other words the weather of that day...

I think you got it the wrong way around. The Altimeter works by the Barometric pressure reading.

Hi Pambos, we do actually mention that, perhaps you should watch our Altimeter video for further details

Pambos is spot on! Casio don’t bulshit us please, we are not stupid. By sticking a man on top of a mounting telling me that the Baro is below 1000 you think we are going to do a runner 😂😂😂 Let’s get some facts right. The fact he climes the mountain the Baro will automatically be effected by the altitude and give false reading or false baro graph indicating that the pressure has dropped because of the altitude that effected the sensor making the barometer think it’s a low pressure approaching. Casio ABC use the same sensor so for accurate weather prediction, it even says it in the manual, the watch needs to be on a flat surface for it to accurately mesure air changing pressure without any interference by altitude. Even on flat surface , the same goes for the altimeter it will never stay accurate if a weather moves in. Set the altimeter to a known elevation and leave the watch untouched, overnight if the pressure changes the altitude will also change.

@@Ajajambo I can confirm, I live in the mountains and drive up and down ~700-800m daily by car. When I set my watch (GG-B100) to alarm me whenever "a big change in weather" is occuring from the barometer-mode, I get warned consistently I drive up or down within a period of minutes. So I can not really trust the barometer in that scenario. When I stay on the same level for longer period of time, I guess the barometer could be useful. Casio touches on it in this other video (Ql8BEp4D1KY) at 0:46

@@UCh2eg Well, they make good watches but can't yet change physics laws ... ;) Else It'd need a GPS signal sync in order to compute a compensation according to the elevation. (not the same price nor battery life) Anyway, thanks @Casio UK those tutorials are very clear and straight to the point, It's greatly appreciated !

well you dont need a barometer or a genius to know that a storm is comming in that weather...anyway thanks for the video
