And Anji’s definitely picked up on it lol, it’s prolly why he has zero fear about being bolder with her. It’s nice seeing their relationship progress into this since GGX/XX, I’m cheering for them!

@@alfonsocyrusjoshua9551 No i mean like so much context is missing that’s unrelated to Chaos, Nagoriyuki, etc. Like there has to be a lot more on Bedman and Delilah plus Johnny is no where on the Mayship lol. Plus since everyone says story pretty much means who gets added, Testament is nowhere to be seen yet. But maybe they’re the one taking leadership after Ky’s abdication? If anything this story was covering what was happening of the scene of the HC plot.

Nah, Anji and Baiken are a package deal. Anji just needed them to go on an appropriately thematic emotional journey first.

Yeah, normally the voice actors for English dub aren't the best, but GGST has amazing English voice actors. Baiken being one of my personal favorites. I just like how deep and gruff her voice sounds.

We do see him and Faust together in exactly one image at the end of the main story of Strive. They look like they're in that same wasteland from Xrd though so maybe they just spoke that one time then parted ways.

It's a "please stop asking" story from Sol, Ky, or Dizzy (probably Sol). The actual way Gears give birth is that they lay an egg.

The Faust we play as in the game is actually Faust’s body operated purely by his primary desire to help people as a doctor. A soulless husk. That’s why he talks so slowly and can’t control his body completely.

Late to the party, but rare amplifying magic in Guilty Gear is Ki, and since it was a spiritual concept before whole "magic is real" event, it is implied japanese characters (or east asian in general) are able to subconsciously use it to be superhumans. There is also this whole thing with japanese exclusive virus that was investigating in previous games, that might add some kind of mutation.

Happy Chaos was the only one who was "involved" in the murder that Delilah knew about and was in murdering distance.

Not really they defeated him but ariels betrayed him leading him to outperform himself.

Bedman (the actual brother, not the bed) died in the previous game. Now his spirit is controlling the broken bed that's malfunctioning, and all it can do is protect Delilah.

Ariels, the Sanctus Maximus in Xrd, was possessed by happy chaos during the later portion. Venom and Robo ky defeated bedman, but he was still alive and was awake for the first time in his life. Ariels meets up with bedman and laughs at him and tells him he’s been a great pawn. Bedman uses the rest of his power and threatens to kill Ariels, but instead uses it to resurrect his sister Delilah and crumples to ash and dies.

the wording confuses me a lot (like them calling Ram a gear) and not being good in english isnt helping but i think i'll just stick to thinking that "Ky Kiske hero loved by all" stepped down because now he's presenting himself as "Part-gear Ky" because Ram, Sin, Dr. Paradigm and Dizzy taking over would either make zero sense because they have never showed interest in it or because it would just be a stupid idea

Only thing that makes much sense to me is that he meant Dizzy It could be the fact that him swapping an eye with Sin and banging Dizzy has made Ky a Gear, too, now that you mention it.

So in the main story for strive its mentioned he's stepping down for the sake of his family, (since in the past he didn't acknowledge dizzy/sin publicly) but the narration here says "it wasn't for self interest, its possible this is what allowed gears to be citizens." My read of this is that Ky said he would step down because he's been 'corrupted' by gears, but the Illyria was collectively like, "nah, man, its cool, we get it" and not only allowed him to keep power, but extended rights to everyone so that the laws would be consistent. Basically Ky 'stepping down' ended up being this grand political maneuver that helped humanity move past their hatred of gears. And he's a "non-human" in the sense that he's got a dragon install courtesy of Dizzy
