it took DF half a generation to repeat Cerny's words from his presentation. Some engines prefer fast gpus, some wide and it's harder to fill all gpu's cores with work(Cerny's words). By this time, they should have been find a way to run demos on ps5/xbox and build several demos in UE 5 and Unity to test different scenarios, not speculate and guess, but have some empirical data.

Great Grind house and my lord has this been an eventful time period. Long comment incoming... I think honestly Stella was letting her Halo fangirl flag fly because the comparisons with Halo is baffling because I've never really seen them do that before for any other game before. Even for reviews or previews. It has more in common with Valorant than Overwatch. More in common with Destiny than Halo. And her lack of information shows how much she wants to write it off. The devs already said they did't want classes to maximize player agency, flexibility, and strategy for every mode. They wanted match-ups to be similar to fighting games. The gameplay and gunplay is more like Destiny as well determining by ability cooldowns. And the further balancing comes from the beta and onward. She's goofy lol Astrobot looks like a winner. I hope it sells millions because it possibly would encourage SIE to invest into more mascot titles. And devs can be more even more expressive with Dual Sense. Another game that was tried out and sounds like the previews were pretty solid for Lego Horizon. So they could have a one-two punch holiday games for children and families. I am still shocked it was Horizon before Uncharted. Especially because it already has a successful film that's getting a sequel, has an amusement park ride, and the IP obliterates Indiana Jones, essentially becoming the modern day "Indiana Jones". I guess they really want to capitalize on Horizon's explosive popularity and universe’s flexibility. Speaking of Indiana Jones... let's add Avowed as well... I think those two games are getting delayed tbh. Either that or they're going with the logic that hands on play is unnecessary since you can try it as a part of a Game Pass. Just odd that we aren’t getting any hands on previews for games targeting holiday. Lastly, I honestly believe they pretty much gave up competing with Playstation and squeezing their hardcore out the last they can as they slowly transition to full 3rd Party. It's likely more fruitful to collect 70% off the other far more popular platforms than struggle selling games and hardware they invest in and maintaining a network that costs money. I think they accelerated hard when they acquired Bethesda but the needle went backwards. So they’re cutting losses early and started porting SoT at the beginning of 2023. They possibly already made a decision in 2022. Starfield not doing anything to pump hardware sales just added to reasons to go 3rd party. And i think the no console required is not only to diminish the need for Xbox, but also chip away at the appeal of consoles in hopes to get some to migrate to Cloud from Playstation. That’s my theory at least. I think Microsoft is doing whatever possible to disrupt and resculpt the game industry to their model. Lazy ass company brother…
