As sad and serious as this scene is, that "Oh fuck me" expression bedman makes as a giant-ass pool cue descends from the heavens to smite him is just hilarious.
Bedman realizes too late that his inability to connect to other people doesn't make him superior, it just makes him out of touch with reality... as if he were asleep.
His inability to connect to other people meaning his inability to realize that Ariels hates him like a plague inmmediately came back to bite him. Jesus Fucking Christ, Daisuke
@@GMdelsXT9 And the main problem with this is that back then before GGXPlus, GGXX and BlazBlue started to make in-game story mode more of a thing, Guilty Gear's story was quite easy to gloss over due to lack of proper presentation of enough of it (you have to go out of your way to read side material leading up to it).
This scene, This BLOODY scene right here is what makes Guilty gear have a better story mode compared to any other, For Robo-Ky a mere Pawn of the organisation at one point to malfunctioning into a perverted bride searching Robot to what he was in this scene, a Machine built by humans who despite how they treated him sacrificed himself to save his colleague and possibly many more lives and when a Machine has more character in this game then compared to other high engrossing Fighting games out there like SFV where no offense that story is bland and boring as hell. This scene right here shows just how well they can do characters, heck i don't think anyone expected Robo-ky to have a pivotal plot point in saving many lives and taking down Bedman at first. This scene is so beautifully done and i just can't help but hope that they bring Robo-Ky into the game whether that be a future character in Rev 2 or a future Rev 3, Because he really deserves it, and it would be especially fun if he was brought back and played just like his counterpart in XX2 accent core
Master Kamina-The Spiral Jester Spoiler alert: Crow found one of Reload's parts and starts fixing Robo-Ky and tell a lot of info. Also Reload ask Crow about why was he created and etc.
7:45 bro..... HE MEANT HIMSELF AND DELILAH, HOLY SHIT DAISUKE HE HAS ODA VISION. 10:15 BEDMAN ADOPTED THIS LOGIC BEFORE DYING THERE CANT BE ANY OTHER REASON WHY THE BED KEEPS FOLLOWING DELILAH. And there she was on 16:52 standing over the corpse of her brother..... Shit's sad
Honestly, Robo Ky is the most ironic poetry in the franchise. Every character in the franchise is escaping demons and try to achieve the human desire of true happiness. The only "person" to achieve that is the robot dude.
I like how hes kinda an opposite to the main antagonist too, Ariels is the Universal Will, in her backstory they explain how shes originally a robot who was designed to study what it means to be human which lead to her seeing humans as imperfect and she wants to recreate humanity. Robo-ky on the other hand is a robot who is treated like trash by humans but he doesn't care, hes just glad to be a part of a society, he understands what it means to be human, hes got a dream to farm tangerines and is willing to sacrifice himself for humans
No one in this game i feel worse for than bedman, his reaction to finding out that the people he killed were actually gone forever is such a punch in the gut
@@ohlookitisacat7404 They exist because you only laugh and make fun of them. If you took the time to kindly talk, understand and sympathize with them they'll be more willing to open their minds. People who believe that sort of thing had an upbringing surrounded by other flatearthers, you have to understand that it's a big and hard step for them to realize what they grew up thinking was right, was actually wrong. You want change? You don't go around laughing at people, that's a good first step
@@ohlookitisacat7404 no, because most of them dont argue in good fate and are just contrarians, so they cant be convinced or reasoned with because they dont want to and besides they also dont respect everyone else’s opinion
@@Prikense you have probably never actually spoke to one, have you? I used to be the same with religion, acting like all religious people were weird zealots with no good points, but, if you speak to the opposing side, you end up getting a new perspective 7 times out of 10, maybe you'll never agree with them, shit, I still dont believe in religion or flat earth, but you come to atleast understand them. Most of the time, its just a matter of perspective, for example, if you spent your life only observing prisons, you'd expect the world to made up of soley criminals, which isnt true at all.
Damn this whole scene just sucks from Bedman’s POV. He was proven wrong, he lost a fight, he was tricked into murdering people, and then he just turns into stone probably feeling like he didn’t accomplish anything good. I always knew he died but I didn’t realize it was this sad of a death. Robo-Ky for the win tho, that funky robot rocks
@@JustCenti- He was, and if nothing else, he sorta succeeded at it. And IDK if it's ever been explicitly stated or not, but I think the implication is that he used the last of his power to allow Delilah to be awake without ending up like him. Could be wrong tho.
@@WynterStormYT Either way, the two endings are very bittersweet, and I love that, being able to wake up his sister with the last of his power... or dying, not even knowing what will happen to his sister, both fitting
What I love about this is that this is possibly one of the only times that Bedman has ever waken up in his life, sleeping all throughout only to wakeup facing a giant fucking cue stick about to kill you.
9:50, THIS, THIS IS WHY I LOVE THIS METAL MAN humans operate with logic, no matter what you say, flawed or not, its in one way or another, logic, and Robo=Ky is literaly so experienced by now that he uses pure logic to dunk Bedman i love how Robo=Ky is the most human and sane of all characters even operating by pure machine logic
I honestly thought Bedman was gonna kill her right there and then Sad part is that if he would've been a bit healthier, he might've been able to do it. She was gonna kill him and he just made the attack disappear like if it was never even there. He lost to Venom and Robo Ky because he underestimated them. He was gonna fucking kill Ariels
@Firework 009 nope, 2nd strongest Happy Chaos is on the roster, and Ariels having absorbed Happy Chaos is the sole reason why he couldn't erase her existence
The post-credits scene implies that he'll be part of the next game's story, so I think he's one of the most likely candidates for being playable in the next Xrd game (not Rev 2)
Well, he was also the secondary gag character besides Faust from #RELOAD and beyond. Not to mention, I'll take a guess and assume that this is the exact same Robo-Ky from the Accent Core+ story mode, unlikely that may be. Robots can have character development too, you know.
@Duke Yea, I like to see this Robo-Ky as the same Robo-Ky in XXAC+ and I think the path 1 ending probably being canon and he survived the explosion from the self destructing Justice clone but Who knows, it's just a theory I came up with.
I had an idea that since Bedman is dead we will get Deadman which is just the same guy but he’s in a coffin. Although I forgot he turned to stone and crumbled so we’ll more than likely just play as his sister.
Does anyone know the name of the song when Robo-Ky self-destructs? EDIT: Never mind, it’s Passing Shower. Thought I’d share that for the people who can’t find it.
And so was one seriously OP dude brought low by a joke character that mostly existed so players would have something to smack around when fodder was called for instead of people that mattered. And for some super genius that was so genius it gave him psychic powers Bedman was kind of gullible.
It's shit like this that will make Robo-Ky my favorite character in GG forever. It's criminal he wasn't playable in Xrd or Rev/Rev2, but with the new game coming the dream to have him back is strong as ever.
Nah, I'm with you on that. They already made it clear that he was doing all of this for the sake of finding his sister, and then getting backstabbed like that and told that it was all for nothing? It's really kinda sad.
well, to be fair, seeing as how he's been speaking telepathically for the past games (y'know, coma and all) I'm actually amazed he can speak, or that he doesn't sound raspier/weaker from the atrophy.
I think in the intro scene for Ky and him, u can actually hear his voice under Delilah’s but it doesn’t sound as sassy and more robotic. It’s only audible in English from what I’ve seen, confused why JP doesn’t have it so its a ????? Also they still haven’t given us background to what their curse actually is (tbh their entire motif screams lab rats) and how Delilah just stood next to his body at the end like where was she????? Honestly love his new look but I miss his rants, atleast make him say something in morse code for the lols.
OmegaChosen0 Grant it, Baiken has been in Guilty Gear since day one and is a fan favorite. And she did have a role in the story too. The next character to come will likely be either Robo-Ky or Zappa, but I'm rooting for Robo-Ky.
He kicked the bucket because he woke and got up... he wasnt supposed to coz he is BEDman not WAKEman or STANDman... Ah geez. Cant hold back these tears.
@@RyeBreadFF I feel like they'll take Deliah in one of two ways. Small spoilers for Strive first side story. Either they make her a type of puppet character with Bedman's bed being a 'puppet', where the gameplay is the bedframe (attempting to) protect her, or They will give her some other playstyle based after the events of the White House fiasco, so after the Bedman bed is destroyed.
>Overpowered >Gets called a actually nice guy. >Manipulated by some higher entity or the like. >Dies turning to stone. >voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa Now answer me this: Am i describing Bedman or Garou from OPM? Murata you bloody hack.
Robo had better get into Strive before the damned waitress. She did actually nothing in the story yet got a slot. I had BEGGED out loud while watching for her to do SOMETHING. And she never did. Just a small 4 second cameo with one line. Meanwhile Robo does ALL OF THIS and was absolutely critical in the success of the heroes, and gets relegated to “joke character lol.” and disregarded. What a sick joke.
I still can't understand how in the hell he walks around the city in the robes of The First King of Illyria and nobody even f***in notices nor cares?!!!!
It’s not the “First Kings Robes.” It’s the it’s the garments of the Holy Order. Order Sol wears a Red version, Kliff wears a brown version, and Testament used to wear the remnant’s of a black version.
my poor bed boy gets dunked on bc robo ky and venom go full scorched earth and then all he can do is bring back his sister, never getting to see the absolute world he fought for
Lmao what is even going on here? In what way is Bedman trapped if he can still teleport around and attack people? Why didn't he just shoot Venom or leave instead of waiting ten minutes to get spirit bombed? We've hit full dbz mode.
Old comment but I wanted to clear it up in case anyone was wondering - Venom's sphere isn't 'confining' Bedman as it exerts no force, but it keeps a consistent position around him that also controls the position of the magic spheres. 'They remain a set distance from the sphere'. Since that cuestick was made from the spheres, any attempt to move by Bedman would just cause the cuestick to move with him. As for why he didn't just shoot Venom with the spikes? I suppose he may have still been uneasy about Robo-Ky's potential to intervene without him being able to predict his actions (as a robot, Robo is obviously immune yo traditional mind-reading), but there's also the factor that he's so flabbergasted at the actions of everyone around him that he can't help but get caught up in this whole argument about the worth of ideals. In the end, his ego got the better of him I suppose.
@@roxy3083 I guess that makes sense. I haven’t watched the full story mode so I’m a little confused as to the situation. But I was confused as to why he didn’t just immediately teleport so he was right next to venom and kill him immediately. Cause then all the stuff he was doing would just disappear and it would just be a 1v1 that he wouldn’t have had much trouble with. Likewise I didn’t get why he didn’t teleport away from the explosion and then rlly soon after teleport back and continue with what he was doing. Your explanation helps clear a lot of it up so cheers :)
yes but in the DLC story for Strive his spirit possesses the bed, and now theyve sort of confirmed that the next character will be Delilah with the bed
"Nothing matters because you have genes" is not comparable in even the slightest way to "Never laugh at someone else's dream", dumbass. Just fucking don't.
