new nvidia drivers are needed for this game, pascal gpus are not being utilized fully while the amd cards are.

The fact that these games aren't optimized even at low settings and you have to keep pushing FSR onto every one of these titles is insane I expected performance like RDR2 on this kind of hardware

Pascal gpus are not being 100% utilized in this game. Some people think that this is because these gpus have limited dx12 support. But this doesn't explain why the amd rx570 and rx580 don't seem to suffer from the same problem. I'm inclined to think that this is more of a driver issue. 🤔

I don't think Nvidia is optimizing new games for pascal anymore. Could just be that they couldn't care less due to its age, or maybe it's done on purpose to get people to upgrade. You never know with these companies, honestly.

lol No, dont expect 100% utilization from older pc like this. literally everything on this pc is bottlenecking in this game. 1060 only have 6gb, must have something to do with vram bottleneck & the old i3 cpu, the gpu cant utilize even at low. but its went up to 99% utilization after he changed to high/veryhigh FSR+FG.

there is a mod in nexus that disables Async, i have done it on gtx 1060 and it gave me 95% usage and sometimes 100% gpu usage

This game is def not well optimized, not as bad as other games but for a 2020 game port from playstation it runs pretty poorly even on higher end. The vegitation is a lot and colors but the graphics aren't really that impressive. Good game though.

1060 not dead yet thanks to AMD FSR+50%FPS then multiplied with +100% FG. If 1060 gives normal 30FPS we get 90FPS at the screen😅 That +50% FSR is usually with negligible visual loss acceptable by large free GPU performance for which Nvidia would charge serious money selling us a new card 🤑

This is the case with pretty much all GTX Pascal cards. Looks like the game has a problem being run on cards with limited DX12 support.

@@andhikanazrilshidiq8062 yeah like my gtx 1070 and a ryzen 7 5700g(that its way more capable to push this card) cant barely pass 70% gpu usage, i mean a rx5500xt with a i7 4770(which is way more weaker than my ryzen) has more frames than my configuration, it just makes no sense

The game looks all the way like Red Dead. The best detailed seems to be horse tail and ghost armor. Anyway its lot of running ingame. Medium details look like best for fps or higher but with upscaling. Now I am getting why the horse has such big buttock - has to move seemingly fast through those low fps areas, xd
