I was diagnosed with GHTN at 34 weeks and had to be induced at 37 weeks. I didn't understand the severity of it til this video. 😳 I had no symptoms, so I didn't understand why it was so concerning. I was more freaked out with being induced since it was my first pregnancy and I had no issues up until this. It was fine, and he came so quick! Less than 45 min of labor, no epidural or pain meds! 💪 He's 5 months old now. 😊

Such a scary situation and till this day my daughter is still going through therapies due to this. I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 24 wks and had to have an emergency c-section at 25 wks. My daughter was born a micro premie at 1 lb 2oz and spent 4 months in the NICU. Thank you for this video and explaining in detail.

That happen to me. They induced my labor at 28 weeks. My son weight 3lb pound. I got toxemia after my son was born. Thank god my son is 27 years old.

Can you do one over postpartum preeclampsia? I had preeclampsia during my first pregnancy. My second pregnancy I took baby aspirin and then a week after delivery ended up in hospital with severe postpartum preeclampsia.

Got diagnosed with preeclampsia at 25 weeks but with an amazing team- OB & midwife, made it to 34 weeks before c section. Had amniotic fluid issues at 33 weeks so MFM had me go back to hospital (3rd stay in those 9 weeks). Baby girl has done great but I am still struggling with bp issues 4 yrs later. Meds that have high bp as side effect seem to get to me and stress shoots my bp worse than normally would.

I had a peculiar scare with GHTN today. I was reading extremely high BP at a check up and in a follow up. Sent to a hospital for monitoring and my Blood pressure had dropped back to normal. I spent a whole day being tested and monitored to find out nothing was wrong!

I was diagnosed and induced the same day. I was extremely ill and my dr didn’t do any tests till I mentioned my urine being dark brown and they admitted me immediately at 38 weeks. I was in the hospital for two weeks with lots of complications

I had high blood pressure at the very end of my pregnancy. I was induced and wouldnt dilate past 5 so I had to have a c section I was told I could leave a day after my c section and went back a day later because my blood pressure was so high I almost had a stroke

I got diagnosed with preeclampsia at 38 weeks and was in a c-section a day later! My baby was breech and we didn’t want to take the risk of flipping her so we choose a C-section anyway but it made it happen a lot faster lol

I was diagnosed with preeclampsia at 31 weeks they sent me home… I went back a week later 32+1 I developed HELLP my platelets were 20 they had to induce me. They gave me a platelet transfusion and magnesium.

Can you talk about HELLP syndrome. I had a very healthy pregnancy up until I hit 35 weeks with HELLP syndrome. I have millions of questions starting from if I can have more babies or is it too risky. Can you help please?

I had pre-eclampsia during labor and was on 3 blood pressure medications along with magnesium. Generally speaking, going forward is it likely that I would deliver early to try to avoid it if I get pregnant again? Just curious. :)

My twins were delivered at 35 weeks. I had preeclampsia and gained 100 pounds in my pregnancy. Went from weighing 140 pounds to 240 pounds. I felt like I was going to die. I was so super swollen. I got hospitalized at 34 weeks, but they let me go home for the weekend and then went back on Monday and delivered my twins on Tuesday. One of my babies has congenital hydrocephalus, that’s why they decided to wait a few more days, to have the NICU team ready 😊 now I’m very scared of having another baby 😄

“Likely” going to happen again? I had severe preE and my obgyns say it’s a slightly higher risk than the initial risk of developing it the first time… as in ~5% to say 15% chance. I feel that likely = most likely? Please clarify. This is scary for moms to consider having more babies if they went through this once because it is severely traumatic for some!

Is this true? I was told this by someone, yet after watching your video it seems there are more factors in getting pre eclampsia, again. "Pre eclampsia doesn’t happen twice unless you change partners".
