Different Causes of Knee Pain are:
1. Old Age especially after age 40
2. Trauma to Knee Joint
3. Obese Individuals
4. Genetic Predisposition
5. Women Population have more Osteoarthritis than Male Population
6. Muscle Weakness in Body
Patient presents to doctor with Single or Bilateral Knee Pain. Patient Feels Pain on walking, squatting, during climbing stairs and during saying prayers. Patient Feels Knee muscle stiffness and crackling sounds are heard during Knee Joint ROM.Weight Bearing X-Rays are advised for the patient and different stages of Knee Osteoarthritis can be easily diagnosed on Knee X-Rays.
Different Stages of Knee Osteoarthritis are
1. Mild
2. Moderate
3. Severe
4. Very Severe
Knee Joint Space is reduced in Osteoarthritis and both bones collide with one another when weight bearing activities are being performed. Articular Cartilage is damaged during this process. Treatment of Knee Osteoarthritis is advised after assessing X-Rays of Knee Joint.
