Gi Joe C-130 Shark Custom Transport Plane - DIY How To

Not a Joe fan, but my inner kid appreciates the effort, skill and imagination you put into this project.

The video was dope. The extra icing on the cake that brought everything together was the final 1 minute of the video with the voice overs with the "pew pew pew" and dialogue. Good times!!!!!! :)

Among toy collectors, you Joe fans have the most love. The rest of us just pose 'em and leave 'em on the shelf.

I never thought about it before, but yes, Hasbro should have made one. They were in the comics but also were often in military movies of the 80’s! Seems like it would have been a great choice for a larger vehicle in the line. You did great converting yours!

I loved this and it made my mind run away with what else could be done. I think little electric motors for the props and a sound box for noise would be the cherry on top....

Ive had one of these cheap-o c-130s for a few years and have been using it with joes, i always really wanted more out of it and this video showed me just how to do it!

Super awesome work man. I do a lot of dioramas and things and this is fine work indeed. The ability to place mid sized vehicles in it makes it so much better than just a stick toy

I bought a C130 too, and painted it like you did to yours, but I didn't change the size of mine. Kudos though. Your end result is pretty cool

Looked very good. I had the SkyStriker. Was my favorite Gi Joe Toy. Unfortunately I lost all my old stuff GI Joe, early Star Wars, G1 Transformers in a garage fire. I even had the really old big poseable GI Joe with cloth clothes.

That's impressive. I bought one of those when Toys R Us went out of business, and just had it in the box for a month. As I assembled it, all I did was strip off any decals I didn't like, and settled for the limited space in the cargo bay. I would never have dreamt of cutting it up, widening it, and making it more capacious for bigger vehicles. I have, however the TRU Heroes, the helicopters, I did up their analog of the Dragonfly, merely repainted, their sort of Chinook, I painted blue with a giant 456 on the front, for Zartan (I'm more of a comics fan than of the cartoon) and the TRU Heroes closest equivalent to the HIND-D, I stripped decals, and repainted it and handmade decals for the Oktober Guard. Mine are intended for the 4" figures, (25th Anniversary and onward), as my forte is action figure customization (and accessories). I once found a Tonka 6-wheeled dune buggy thingy, I plated it differently and made it the Oktober Guard's little 6-wheeled vehicle. Would love for that to fit into the cargo bay of the HIND-D analogue.

Great job. Another cool custom idea would be to buy 2 C-130 and scrap the 2nd plane for longer fuselage and wider wingspan. Now you should try to make the Cobra Heli-Carrier seen in the cartoon intro. LOL!!

I picked one of these up a few weeks ago at a thrift store. I need to find one more propeller. I love to watch your projects, I just got back into action figures, and have picked up some other things from thrift store and definitely want to kitbash stuff into some cool things.

Badass idea, especially with the putty to fill in the gaps as I bought a cheap military helicopter from my thrift store to use for my G.i. Joes and it has a gap and the way how you made those seats are great as I plan to make some as the helicopter I got has no seat for my troopers to sit in.

That was an awesome custom G.I.Joe C-130 Hercules you made! I'd love to do a project like that but unfortunately I wouldn't have any room to put it because I already have my dresser full of G.I.Joe figures and vehicles on the top and some are displayed in different parts of my room.
