It's definitely NOT on Stanton. He did everything you could ask for in this postseason. Cashman never brought in a lockdown closer, relied too heavily on re threads in the bullpen except for Weaver who was outstanding and never acquired a solid contact hitter like an Edman. The fundamentals were never enforced on this team. Boone and his coaching staff are responsible for nor addressing the sloppy play which came back to bite them. Then you were going into the playoffs with Rizzo with 2 broken fingers, a second baseman playing third, a catcher who ran out of gas in the end, no lockdown closer although Weaver filled that role admirably but it took its toll in the end. The starting rotation left a lot to be desired. I'll leave it at that.
one guy that doesn’t owe anyone an apology it’s Stanton. He literally did everything you could have asked from him and then some. You are a class act! All of your hard, hard work really paid off
Thank You Stanton, Rizzo and Volpe!! WE love you guys in the good times and beyond!!! Enjoyed watching you guys all season long!! Now it's time to rest for a while.
The team needs a manager that will hold them accountable not cuddle and play to their ego. Until the manager changes his approach or they find someone who does, the Yankees will get the same results.
the yankees need a real ace that can hold a 5-0 lead not wanna be ace like gerrit cole who always give hrs, hits or whatever it is, everytime he pitched ..... you give a 5-0 lead to randy johnson, curt schilling, roger clemens, andy pettitte,cc sabathia, josh beckett & madbum & they'll protect that lead ......
@@johnnier.o.d4746there were two errors in that inning that weren’t Cole’s fault. Obviously he had one error at first but he was pitching an amazing game
Big G deserves a medal for how he's had to deal with the fans and media his entire time in New York. Dudes always been a class act and an absolute beast come playoff time. Him and Soto were the only 2 even trying offensively. Cole pitched his ass off too. So if y'all are looking for someone to blame look at that sketchy pitching staff and your MVP instead because they were M.I.A
'Individual performances don't necessarily win you championships' is an apt description of how the Yankees attempted to leverage several superstar talents at the expense of a fundamentally proficient major league team. There were glaring examples of it throughout the season but Yankees brass gambled on overpowering teams all the while showing at times they simply didn't measure up to what amounts to. championship teams of Yankees seasons past.
Congratulations Yankees fans from a Dodgers fans. you guys put up one hell of a fight given the circumstances and i hope there are more LAD/NYY world series in the future! I promise you things do get better and this team will learn from their mistakes. Chin up and be proud of your boys!
@andreacham8560 you're dumb look at the team as a whole smh u guys are a billion dollar team be real and look at the fight the mets put up and the runs let alone the run they had with what they put together to play on the field, 2025 mets world series wait n watch
It’s not on Staton at all, he did his job this year and work on his craft. He produce however the rest of the team didn’t and they weren’t lock in on being hungry to win. Just look at staton and Soto eye when they would be at bat , those two were hungry for war.
No excuses we lost so we're going to move on just going to have to spend some money to get the players we need so we can get back in the world series again
You have to sign Soto do not let him walk judge and Soto would like the best combination in the American League once we make the adjustments to get the players we need will be right back in the world series
Dopey Volpe made a crucial error with the season on the line. For the most part played like buns the entire playoffs besides 2 games. Had a lucky grandslam
They actually not Yankees just have The biggest choke artist in Yankees history named Judge and a Terrible manager named boone. Judge is a Great guy but you cannot be soft when you're wearing That Yankees uniform
@@chiwawa130You wish so much better that they throw trash and bottles at padre players a few weeks ago and start rioting and breaking windows of convenient stores when they win titles. Please go troll somewhere else. L.A has the most classless fanbase that act like baboons everytime they win.
Just got to sit down and see who's got to go and what we have to go get I think we need another coach Boone is done I would love to see Joe girardi back as the coach for the Yankees
I'm so tired Of you fake bandwagon Dodger fans it's like everytime a team wins they want every player in The league. You guys want soto, Now Stanton..Who has 3 year left. He is not going anywhere he's going to be here for that 28th title. Remember I said that!
I really loved this squad but some guys won’t be back, they didn’t have a big swing n miss hard throwing bullpen and perhaps if Jazz was on the ball club from day one he would have added more wins to the team. The guys whom aren’t the right fit is Holmes very inconsistent, Tommy Kahnle ya can’t be in bigs with one a pitch a change up. Gleyber I like him but I’m sure the Yankees are looking a for a slick fielding second baseman. Rizzo is Awesome but the Yankees will be looking for Power bat out of the 1B position. I hope he resigns. Soto well lets be honest the Yankees aren’t thee biggest spenders anymore. The Mets, Toronto, Giants and more will be in on him. So I think he will go to the highest bidder and the NYY probably won’t be the team. So a lot of questions for next year.
I don’t blame you guys…. You weren’t coach correctly right from the get go…. Youre manager Boone didn’t fix your fundamentals and your GM Trashcan and co. didn’t do nothing to make the team better…. He’s gotten too fat off of the cash of paying customers… You have so,e really disgusting leadership there that lacks accountability.
Okay can't cry about spilled milk we got 28 world series rings under our belt just got to make a couple of adjustments and we'll be right back there again
That was embarrasing. This team will never win the World Series if they dont play good fundamental baseball. Brotherhood and the pinstripes alone doesn't win baseball games, good clean baseball built on fundamentals wins games. Yankees are going to be the Cowboys of the MLB
gerrit cole isn't an ace .... he acts like an ace, wanna be paid like an ace,but doesn't perform like an ace ..... even when he was with the astros ..... unfortunately, ever since he signed with nyy,i have never seen him doing things that really impressed me ..... he always gave up hrs, hits , whatever it is .... he can't hold a lead .... you give a 5-0 lead to randy johnson, curt schilling, roger clemens, andy pettitte,cc sabathia, josh beckett & madbum & i'm pretty sure, they'll protect that lead ...... we need a real ace not a fake one .... that's it !!!! win or lose, i'm still a yankees 4ever ..... 😂🤣😂🤣-🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I agree. him apologizing to the fans and fighting every single at bat is what a captain does. You could just see in his body language that Stanton wanted to win more than anyone in that clubhouse.
@@alecbarrett3607I completely agree with you. He is the most accountable person there. He doesn't smirk and make excuses. He's a true leader. I would like to see him receive the respect he deserves.
Funny how you all boo him in the past. Even now when he runs.. whatever you do in the regular season means squat. Yea he doesn’t hit for average or 40 bombs or mvp but he plays when it matters.
@@bobdylan-t1r There's an interesting comment on my thread. 🙄 There's always a sour patch coming at a lady. You would have to speak for yourself. I have NEVER booed this man. Not once. Never have, never will. 2010 to present. Not everyone is on the bandwagon, temporary, flighty, or rude AF. Some people are good at seeing a person's truth. Have a blessed day.
Rizzo is the most lethargic first baseman in baseball. He never hustles toward the bag on grounders, waiting for the pitcher to run over. Volpe's throw to Chisolm was on a bounce but Chisolm is a major leaguer and should have been able to handle it.
I agree he's out of shape. He plays like he only practices swings that's it. No gym, no weights, no diet, no regimen, nothing. He didn't try hard enough at all.
