The Master Artisan Collection represents the collaboration between the Gibson Custom Shop and select luthiers from around the world. Leo Scala is the founder of Scala Guitars and one of the world's foremost guitar makers.
In a career spanning three decades, Leo Scala has established an enviable reputation for his unique creativity and impeccable craftsmanship, and a passion for Gibson instruments. For this inaugural Master Artisan Collection release, Leo has partnered with the Gibson Custom Shop on ten Flying V style guitars. Each is individually unique in its appearance, aging, and details, but all feature solid Korina wood bodies and long neck tenon construction, Brazilian rosewood fretboards, custom-wound "Retrophonic" humbucker pickups, and painstaking detail and finish work. Each one is like no other instrument in existence and is designed to be enjoyed for a lifetime.
