Untrue they were too early in 2012. Ran into a Lebron that wasn't going to lose without Russ Kd and Harden all playing at a historic level. Afterwards, injuries stopped them every year besides the gsw 3-1 where kd n russ both missed opportunities to close the deal

I remember Westbrook throwing up all those bricks during crunch time. It’s 100% why KD left. Russ should have done the athletic thing and then given the clutch shots to KD. Simple. They would have won a championship together had Russ played his role.

And that’s the key clutch time. This teams (OKC-Kd/Westbrook & Cavs-Ky/Bron) is when the narrative of a team having a #1 #2 on equal footing Vs who’s role was it to CLOSE IN THE CLUTCH. I also blame Brons second finals with Ray Allen. It just shows you when you have a deep squad with shooters that anyone can close the game. But it doesn’t necessarily have to be the #1 option based on shooting pct%. If your not a clutch player, are you truly a #1 option. That’s the real question
