Everybody needs somebody, Gil Scott was one of the guys who took care of us with his poems and his songs. Thank you Scott Haron, by his legacy. The music was more saddened by his departure with and we miss you.

Wow. Beauty-full.I appreciate both this version and Drake's...the message and sentiment itself is not lost in the different variations...this one is more raw and gritty...hopeful, after the fact. The other is wistful and innocent...hopeful for what's to come. A testament to the powerful lyrics and the musical arrangement of both songs.

I absolutely love Jamie XXs remix of this song and without him I may never of listened to Gil Scott-Heron. I find Drake and Rhiannas version disrespectful though. As I (along with many others) feel that Gil Scott-Heron and Jamie XX (as it is his remix used blatantly) are credited enough, or even credited for that matter for making priceless art. Nevertheless, I am 17 so there is still some hope for future generations musically. And I just cannot get over how amazing Gil Scott-Herons voice is.

For everyone saying Drake, Jamie xx was asked to remix GHS and Drake took the instrumental from Jamie xx's remix

@HHDiaries I never said that he shouldn't be credited at all, I just meant that Jamie XX should of at least gotten a mention for his rework/remix this song which was blatantly ripped. Yes samples are used in a lot of songs, but that was using multiple whole sections of the remix and I believe personally that, that is a bit more than just sampling. Sorry if there was a misunderstanding, hahah.
