Kawhi has been the biggest diva in basketball since leaving the Spurs. With the Clippers, he practices when he feels like it, attends meetings when he feels like it, routinely shows up hours late to the team plane and makes everyone else wait. And that is only a few complaints that his former teammates have of him. He not used to having to show up somewhere and be expected to be professional and compete. Grant Hill and the others in charge saw that and got Kawhi out of there. The Clipper are upset because they know this means that Kawhi is about to shut it down for the summer, go home, and chill until training camp. They were hoping that Kawhi would stay on the team and have a reason to be active. Think about it, when was the last time you ever seen or heard about Kawhi working out in the summer?

Kawhi wasn’t in the circle. The vets like tatum and edwards has made a push. So that leaves him being the 10-12th man, which is why they replaced him with a role player.

I said this from day 1 Kawhi clearly did not want to be there. Look at his bag. Look at his face and demeanor when he walked in. Clearly he didn't want to be there. He probably didn't a fuck in practice. Probably had a scuffle with Kerr and didn't participate with anything with the team even after practice and they wanted him to go home.
To me the reason is they realized they had to play him a lot because he’s kawhi. They didnt want to give him those minutes he wanted . hence why he got replaced by a role player

For all the Kawhi haters out there , even though what they decided made some since to a degree, Kawhi should be out there because deserves it, when healthy he is still arguably the best player in the league. I mean we can say he maybe a risk for injury but if you’re going to say that then all of them are at risk for injuries, most of them are older and have injury history as well. This could be Kawhi’s only opportunity to win a gold and they are taking that away from him. I think the old heads are afraid of Kawhi stealing their thunder because he’s flat out better than them, especially Lebron! Because Kawhi has been a thorn in his side since day one, Durant and Curry’s too but I fear they are going to need Kawhi like they needed Kobe in the Redeem Team
