Seen him at a comic con, he was very kind to an elderly lady who was clearly smitten and a little overwhelmed. The only shame about the character is that we never saw enough of The Ripper side,
I would’ve loved to have seen a young Giles spin off. They could still do it. I’d rather watch that than a Buffy reboot. My favorite Giles scene is when he appears at the Magic Box to confront dark Willow. 🖤
One of my favourite actors ever. This guy is epic and he helped make Buffy into what it became I truly believe it could've never had become what it did without an actor so talented. Plus he's hot, say what you will but my idea of a hot man lies in his intellect and this guy clearly has a big beautiful brain and it shows.
Tina Dod Definitely concur! I also like Wesley because he’s cute, he got a lot tougher and sexier when he went to Angels, but Giles! He’s a perfect balance of wisdom old world charm, yet still able to be very manly tough and gritty when need be. Real men understand how to use their power when to be gentle and loving, when to be violent and forceful. The same goes for women.
I have to say that Giles are rubert Giles is without a doubt the sexiest library and all of Sunnydale now if they ever had the word beefcake looked up in the dictionary
If Buffy the Vampire Slayer was made today, I think they would be having Buffy and Giles hooking up in one way or another. I am just so glad they made it back then, when it really meant something.
You should look up the coffee commercials for Gold Blend back in the 80s...it was like a soap opera..I think no8 was the long awaited kiss....he was VERY sexy.
I think Giles and Joyce should have hooked up since he was a father figure anyway. They did in one episode, but they should have pursued that further. Anyway great character and actor.
Thanks for video! It's very interesting character's development of Giles comparing to Spike: actually he ended up in descending quite low while Spike finished in ascending the highest level
I can't remember what video it was of Marsters, but he gave a lot of credit to Head for helping him with his British accent. Many won't remember this but Head was also famous for doing coffee commercials about a couple. They said having a cup of coffee can be seductive sometimes.
im legit surprised I havent seen anyone anywhere on the internet compare him to constantine their teenage years are exactly the same they even have the whole "tortured by character that died in a demon summoning" thing in common
@@TheNerd1004 After Ethan turned him back to human, he had to borrow the robe from Ethan. They are watching the authorities take Ethan away (Last time we saw Robin Sachs).
And I don't trust Maggie bosses far as I could throw her and what does she know about whether or not you're really good role models she is a bad role model she doesn't know anything about though she has no right to say that Charles is a bad role model
Giles, after season 1 and somewhere in the middle of the second was a hypocrite. He betrayed Buffy, never useful at fighting (how many times he just went unconscious, like 100 times). After that he did show that he actually cared for Buffy (esp. when he gave her that check), but never actually showed that in his heart that he still wasn't The Ripper. The final straw was when he was stalling Buffy hoping Wood kill Spike. As an actor, of course Anthony nailed it, his character...I've always disliked him
"The final straw was when he was stalling Buffy hoping Wood kill Spike". Yes, he did betray Buffy, but it was set up and explained so well in that episode.
