Here is another observation about Giles and love. When he was a young Ripper he was an asshole. But all the Ripper moments in his adulthood are there when he needs to protect the people he loves. He never reveals his Ripper side to the gang directly. It only comes out behind closed doors to protect them.
Spike is my favorite character in Buffy and perhaps series in general. Marsters did an incredible job on making Spike such a messed up, goofy, evil, lovable, observant and sensitive character in the show. Thanks for posting this! ❤
Happy birthday to my sister Marietheresa and David. They share the same birthdate May 16th. I guess this is the closest I will get to a movie star. I told my sister let's trade birthdate. She said, " no I'll keep mine " 😂 I love you my sister, and Happy Birthday to 0:41 David Boreanaz. I just started watching his TV shows for the first time and I really like the TV series. 🎂🎉🎈 🎂🎉🎈❤ 2024.
I love all the different themes. But as much as I like the Buffy and Angel Theme, I think my very favorite is the Spike and Buffy theme. Spike loved Buffy enough to fight for his soul and he won it back so he could be a better man for her. Angel although he was a good guy, had his soul jammed back into him. It wasn't for love of anyone or anything, it was just a curse. I think Christopher Beck is a great composer and he did a excellent job for the show.
I watched the show coming up and during the end and after the end she talked about the gruelling schedule and how she could wear dresses since the show because her bruises finally healed.
When I saw the preview for the Buffy crossover episode that depicted Spike defeating the 2 slayers, my jaw dropped. Spike...dressed in punk rock gear...in the 70s! wHat?
Hearing the first song I can just picture that floppy disk falling between the desks and 10 year old me’s heart sinking. That episode aired in February and we had to wait until May for that damn disk to be discovered! 🥲
There's always a risk in running HD reissues of shows broadcast in SD cause unless the show was filmed on actual film (or in Buffy's case edited and had effects rendered in 480), the show is either going to have noticable artifacting from interlacing or have issues with bad coloring. This seems to display the absolute worst path to take when attempting this, especially for a 4:3 to 16:9 conversion too.
They should have taken notes from the Jurassic Park 4K UHD Remaster. They took the original reel, upscaled it and didn’t mess with tinting or lighting or editing. They JUST upscaled it. So sad they thought that it would be okay to fuck with the original.
I never thought Spike was a deep character, I actually preferred Angel; but I have been rewatching Buffy with my daughter: she said, that out of the two, Spike was by far the more interesting; so I've been watching, and I can honestly say, Spike is a more well rounded character: he has a lot more personality; I think there is more heart, and soul invested in Spike ( a little ironic, I know). I have found myself falling in love with this character, and even rooting for him to get with Buffy ( I watched Buffy years back, as a teen); I think Spike shows a lot of emotion, which has kind of dampened his blood lust: but you can relate to him more, as he was human to begin with. Buffy is a show, that has stood the test of time; my daughter loves it: she's 18 years old: it is one of the best written shows, I rate it over 'The Twilight Saga'.
