Can’t help thinking sticking an Italian flag stripe over the top of the oven is a bit more style over substance. Yes it looks very sporty and stylish, but it’s not really needed to cook a decent pizza. Plus this turn on, heat up, turn off, turn pizza, turn on (lowest setting) seems a bit of a faff! If you’re making multiple pizzas you could make a mess of it. Thanks for the review. As usual honest and concise!
Ace video as always! Thanks Tom! You helped me chose today between Ooni and Gino - I went with the Gino and got it on offer! Great stuff! Have a fab 2024! Look forward to seeing more vids. Amy, Wales - UK
Hi Tom, great Pizza oven and great work in your review. I love the oil can ... I also made a new Pizza oven test for my chanal today. I like the Gino, maybe I will test him one day. Greats from Germany, Andreas
Ciao from Italia! As always, such a great video and review. Many Thanks for all that you do, I have always wanted an Ooni, and I totally appreciate the expanded coverage of review units and knowing there are so many more options out there! LOL, hard to justify getting one now, since there's like a pizzeria on just about every block here. But at some point I'll move again and I will definitely have to get a unit to replicate some of these AMAZING flavors. Keep it up Tom and thanks again! Cheers
Hey Tom I need your opinion would you recommend this gino pizza oven over the gozney rockbox???atm they are both the same price in uk Thinking of this as it's a bit bigger 14 inch but not many reviews here :)
Good question, I don’t like to say one is better than the other but here are a few things to consider…. Roccbox is 12” Gino is 14”, Roccbox is multi fuel, Gino is gas only. Roccbox is older so likely has older technology, Gino is newer and more modern. Roccbox has a thicker stone and Gino is thinner, so will hold less heat between cooks. Things to consider is do you need multi fuel? Will you cook up to 14” pizza or is 12” ok? Will you cook just 2-3 pizza or more like 8-10, meaning you need that extra heat retention. Then there is style, personally I think the Gino looks better but that’s dependant on the individual. Hope this helps
Switch the oven completely? Totally opposite of what you want for a neapolitan pizza. Must cook in 1 minute no more. When you lift the pizza confirm that you made biscuits base that is forbidden in Napoli. Pizza is an art.... Roccbox can cook an almost perfect pizza and the price reflect. You did make a good pizza but made few mistake that didn't help me to review this oven. Thanks anyway.
🎉FIRST🎉 What's going on Tom! Great video. Dude, how many pizza ovens you have? What's your go to oven when you're not making a video? What do you do or going to do with the ovens you do kot use or like?
Thanks dude! Always grateful for you support to my channel! I have around 10 ovens now, i need to have a clear out really as they are taking over! When im not making a video, i usually use the Karu 16, as it's the oven I'm most confident on, and find it performs well. If were doing a party, ill use a couple though to make things easier, usually Karu 12 and 12G side by side
Great job Tom. I was going to ask how many pizza ovens you had as well. Have you tried Hot Honey on your pizza yet? Also any tips on how to keep the pepperoni from burning so much on the top of your pizza.
thanks for watching, i have 10 ovens at the minute, but like to keep these for future videos, or give them to charity etc. I do like Hot Honey, but usually opt for jalapeños on a pizza for heat instead! If you're having issues with pepperoni burning, try turning off the gas when you launch the pizza, and let the base cook, then in the final few seconds, turn the gas back on to cook the top as much as you'd like!
No it isn't. The front lip/fascia production tooling is custom cast or milled to say GINO and that alone means that it's impossible for it to be an Alibaba batch order/rebrand. On top of that, from a finance perspective it makes no sense to batch buy when as a celebrity chef you possess more than enough base assets to clear and secure revolving credit for a partnership contract for custom die tooling and other production, logistics, and storage expenses. You don't know what you're talking about.
