Just got my Tri-Way Trimmer in .308 in the mail today... This thing is AWESOME... Super smooth I set it for 2.005 inches and it was within .0005 plus/min on the next 25 cases. Just mad that I had tried a couple of other options before buying this...
Have you noticed any problems with brass shavings falling into the case and bearing? I remember reading that Giraud recommends using the Tri-way in a horizontal or downward configuration. Just wondering, because I’m about to order one and I was planning on using the drill press also, until I read that.
If you get any brass shavings stuck in the funnel, it will stop the casing from fully getting seated. Just blow it out of the funnel and you should be fine.
Yes, same headstamp and full length resized. It is crucial that your sizing process is consistent because the cutter indexes off the shoulder of the case, so if you’re not getting consistent shoulder set back, there is no way to get consistent trim lengths. How much variance are you having?
@@stricklyreloading8494 You're right i was not sizing/setting headspace uniformly with my resizing die. Picked up that hornady ap headspace gauge kit for my calipers, and now i have my die set correctly and am even able to take different headstamp unprocessed once fired brass, clean them up, knock them back to uniform headspace, then run them through my tri way for all same length beautifully tri trimmed with great consistency. Thank you brother
