Legit, I got a wallet as gift from a friend that checks on a group of us for church attendance and stuff like 3-4 years ago, still using till this day 😂
You can go with a $400 dollar handbag, or just go with a really durable simple looking one for $30 dollars. Don’t understand why people care so much about expensive brand names, honestly I get they are normally high quality but the competition also sells product for about the same at a 1/10 the price.
More like if you use that purse until it disintegrates into individual strands of fabric. Most guys use bags and wallets to the absolute maximum, with the exception that someone else buys them something better
I got my wallet 10 years ago. It was like 20$. Since then it got washed in the washing machine like 5 times, dropped countless times from a shelf or drawer even got run over by a car. Still using it
Omg, I'm the same!! I'm not a dude, but that's my way of thinking. I'm the opposite of most women, I HATE the mall, I hate shopping, hate trying on clothes, always have..I end up a hot, sweaty mess, frustrated because I didn't like anything, or nothing fit right..I've always been a jeans and tee type of girl
@SaltyArmySarg you can find jeans that fit right?!?! You must have some luck, because if they fit around my waist they are too long, and if they fit lengthwise, it's too big for my waist. It sucks. I hate how they measure our clothes. A 13 in 6 brands are all different
@@SaltyArmySargoeeh aren't you so different. I buy quality stuff, not 400 dollar handbags but also not just the cheapest shit. Because i don't like shopping. Great for the cost per wear. But also, because it lasts so much longer i don't have to constantly search for and buy new shit. I do mostly wear jeans and a t shirt. But like, jeans dont always have enough pocket space. How do you think i bring my lunch to work and my waterbottle. Let alone pads, painkillers, wallet etc. Need that stuff.
Lmao I just had a conversation with my mom today about me painting in my robe. We determined it was ok, because I had already gotten more than my money's worth and new robes are nice 😂 girl math is a thing 😅
@@generaldream6206 Just because it "can" last 10-20 years doesn't mean that you don't replace it before it's in tatters. I got my first leather wallet at around 20, if I remember right. So on average they lasted about 7 years. My current one is about that old give or take a year with only about a 3/8th inch circle of obvious flaking damage near the middle center. Should last another year or two before its functionality starts to be effected. Real leather belts also last multiple times longer than fake leather. For them you should buy them bigger than your need because you're more likely to grow wider before they wear out.
I was explaining to a female coworker that my craft coffee hobby yields better coffee than you can find anywhere in the city and the precise breakdown of how much money I am saving per cup, compared to buying from Starbucks. Her response was “are you trying to educate me on girl math right now?” I haven’t seen this yet, so I was pretty embarrassed.
I’ve been wearing a pair of shorts from 15 years ago and only one pocket still holds things and there’s a hole in the crotch that helps with airflow. I could stitch them up but i’d rather drop my phone through the wrong pocket and have some air on my balls.
Not necessarily. I have a few nice purses, though not designer, and all but one came from the thrift store. The one that didn't was a birthday gift. Do they get used daily? Not even a little. But I absolutely used them enough to get my dollar per day lol
I feel that pain with you. Im not an accountant but im a "penny pincher" who lives with a "big spender". Im over here washing out ziploc bags to reuse while hes buying three of a thing we never use because its on sale. 😢😢😢
@@sometimessnarky1642 Glad I'm not the only one who does that. The only time I throw out zip lock bags that do not have holes in them is if they held raw chicken. While my wife has 0 self control. Money burns a hole in that woman's pocket!
Buys new GPU: "But it's only costing me $30 a day until the next gen comes out!" GPU casually hits 600w at load. PCB cracks. Purchasing competitor GPU before the year is out. (Yeah I'm talking about Nvidia. Everyone knows which GPU) Meanwhile, me, buying A770 for $240. "But it consumes 40w idle!" says the guy who bought a 4090. Me calculating that I'd have to leave it on 24/7 for several years to match his up front cost of a 4090. (That he had to RMA for cracked PCB lol) But in fairness. Buy the GPU you want that has value, the features you like, and make it play the games you want at the settings that matter. Too many people think they always need the cutting edge or need to max out @8k every new game release. They don't.
It depends on how often you upgrade, but then again girls spend a lot of money also on makeup and other stuff. If this is your only expensive hobby it doesn’t really matter. Im a girl and a gamer so i get both worlds xD
Ahh gpu performance relevancy math the never ending question of will this over priced piece of shit made of silicon bring me enough enjoyment for its extremely overpriced cost
Stunting on other women is more important than protecting your knees, back, and toes to women. Says a lot about women that they care more about appearance than actual health.
Women or your woman? Why would any woman your not in a relationship have anything to say about what you spend on anything? Unless you're going around asking their opinions on the price of your boots, which would be weird for you to do...
Don't listen to them! U need those for work! It's cheaper to put out $300 for a damn good pair of boots that will save ur body aches and pains later down the road 🙌 ur important too 🙏
Yeah I did save $200 because I bought a $22 bag and not a super expensive one. That thing has lasted me two years without complaint. They just want an expensive bag lol.
@@stonerzgamingentertainment1708The double negative was used to accentuate the absolute nature of the comment as never not is more absolute than always Also recently I was debating if I should upgrade my world of Warcraft account because it's on sale 50% off, yesterday was the day the sale ended but when I went to check it was still 50% off but the sale now ends October 2nd instead of September 15th
As a boy I wish I could do this stuff, I grow out of like all my clothes and my shoes don't survive even 1 year, like the only thing that has lived up to it's pricetag is my game systems
I had a bag that was $395. My husband bought for me for Christmas 14 years ago. It wasn't until last year it finally gave out. Buy things that will last you, you will save money in the long run.
Truth.......my Brother divorced his wife....the last 💲 expensive thing he paid for was a Swimming pool....50,000 💲, fiddy grand...... fifty thousand dollars.....it had marble around the outside, a hot tub built in.....and they had borrow against there 401k retirement at BOEING to pay for it...This Was the LAST purchase,in a long string of 💲💲💲 expensive new things that Georgia wanted , my sister had a joke,🤔. Georgia wants Georgia gets....😖😖.....after that they Divorced, other people bought there house and get to use the Marble swimming pool ....Good Riddance
The best girl math advice I got was: “As long as you wear or use that item the same amount of times you paid for it in dollars it is worth it.” Sold advice and it works on my husband every time.
I once bought a new wallet that was like $40. All the money i had in my old wallet was $40. It was very unsatisfying to transfer my stuff from the old to the new, and have no cash left to put in it.
Nahhh can't go cheap on tools or gear. As a blue collar worker tools/gear make or break your body. Gotta spend the money up front to save you down the line..
I'm a man and I have to admit I pretty much used that math when buying a pair of quality boots. I used to buy sneakers once per year, if my boots last for five or more years, I will save money. Currently looking for sneakers to wear in the summer😅
Lol the conversation ALWAYS goes one of two ways: W- "Its the pink tax!! They charge us more than the men's even though it's the same thing, because corporations are sexist!" M- "Then get the men's." W- "But the women's has the soft gel and prevents razor burn, plus i feel like they last longer" M- "Then it's not the same thing and that's why it costs more." **OR** ... M- "Then get the men's." W- "But i like the pink!!" M- "And that's why it costs more."
your telling me!... ive still got underpants that arent threadbare that are 6 years old! Clothes to me is something you wear until it breaks.. and im not a fashionista... im probably the nemesis of the fashion industry.
Yeah. I just break running costs, typically, into monthly recurring costs. If the monthly recurring costs of all of my purchases is less than 30% of my take home money. It's cool. Meanwhile girl math is like "It's only 80% of your take home pay!"
@@Unethical.Dodgson that actually makes more sense because even with an item like a bag or purse you won't use it every day so breaking it down by month makes more sense.
Most women have a day purse/work purse -they're work horse, & probably in use 50-80% when not working due to convenience - Girl Math works here, and then fun bags/everything else - treating it like a subscription work better due to using them less often generally & they see less wear & tear... @@hurinthalion5984
@@duckstudios3513 If we're talking of the meaning of the purse, then an expensive purse is not just a purse, it's a sign she secured a man who has her protected financially, thus she accrues social standing among her women friends. This precludes he pays for the purse, making it the default situation so that "she may pay for it if it's almost free, amirite?" may be valid most of the time. It of course assumes traditional values, he is the breadwinner slaving away at work and she stays at home slaving away to care for the house, children and never-the-less, finances, so she actually knows when it's okay to buy an expensive purse.
This is true. I like to collect a few bags, (3) the big tote bag Family outing, big enough to hold and carry my camera, both our phones, both our wallets, keys, sunblock, snacks, a few "oops I didn't make it to the potty, mommy!" Pull ups, and a throw blanket to either bundle up in or sit on. For work days and general daily use, The little backpack purse Holds wallet, phone, backup battery for phone, charger wire, bandaids, ointment, Tylenol, eye drops, lense case and glasses in the case, sunscreen, and lipbalm.(i Work in a hot kitchen, so gotta stay moisturized and hydrated) Then there's the nice date night bag Small kinda fancy looking, typically will match favorite dress or be same color as favorite shoes as I like to color coordinate. Only holds phone and a few cards. If it's an outing with just myself and hubs, I'm not carrying too much extra
@@candicebruney9040 Just wear a fanny pack, all the cool kids are wearing fanny packs :P JK though. As soon as I saw $400, I was thinking of average new gaming system cost, as well as the utility of the Purse. guys have a wallet and pockets, girls have no pockets so they carry a purse.
sorry but some purses are clearly plain, basic, safe for the grocery store, and then others are for important events because they're more refurbished and take up less space since you won't need to hold as much. don't act like guys don't do this with things other than purses
Cost per wear is a lot harder to calculate if there are a lot of days you don't leave the house. My wife would need that $400 handbag for decades to get it down to a dollar a day. Especially since we have kids and she often just uses the diaper bag to hold all the stuff she would otherwise put in that handbag so she doesn't have to carry both. Admittedly my "cost per wear" on shoes is kind of high. But I replace them only when they are so wore out they actually cause me pain. I haven't yet figured out why I kill shoes so fast.
I bought a new one recenlty cause I am 18 and need a real mans wallet not a call of duty one I had when I was 5... got one sale for 35 bucks think it last me a while
You would make a man a very happy... well... man. He'd be like "Oh shit... she wants a handbag!" And you're like. "Yeah. My old one is falling apart." He'd be shocked. Thinking it was just an impulse buy. You find a functional, attractive, sturdy, and cheap bag. Him: Shock. Nah but seriously. My wife is the same way. She buys things when she actually needs them and she hates being ripped off and doesn't buy designer crap.
If I were to do girls math, I would be the richest man alive. I have shirts that have more than 10 years and are in perfect state. What's the cost per use, 0.001$?
@@sleazybtd You could buy her a suit and those got pockets. There are a million other things you can buy with that money. I would vouch for a fanny pack.
As a man I can absolutely attest it’s real but it goes on both ends.. the cheap girl math equations are far beyond anything us men can understand 🤣 Some how my mother has saved over a $1,000 from basically stealing everyone’s identity at Reasors and maxing out the discounts 🤣🤣🤣
@@msunje9862you wouldn’t understand I just saw you commenting about how they are just joking but this is really how a lot of girls think to justify unnecessary purchases where you are just paying for the brand name
Thing is. A handbag is also a lot more leather, like 10 times easily. And a handbag will also wear faster than a wallet. A wallet typically resides in your pocket. Protected from the elements. A handbag must sometimes be set on the floor and is on the outside.. Plus inflation means that your wallet would be more expensive now.
