I had a similar experience with the leggings. I also found the compressive legging to be uncomfortably restricting, they dig into my waist, and they slip down constantly. I LOVE the skort though. I wear it all the time and it is super comfortable and flattering.
I LOOOVVVE GFC. BUT. They need to stop releasing so many collections when items from their last drop havent even been shipped yet. Their sizing also is inconsistent and typically runs small which indicates they really aren’t as inclusive as people like to think. Especially with larger sizes. Some of the plus size items need to be tweaked to fit plus size bodies. Like the dress? SMH. The swimwear line?! UGH. SUCH a nightmare. So it’s hit n miss with items and sizing. Also, some colors ARE see through- of course lighter colors. Overall though, I’m obsessed with them and their items are the first where I’ve been able to find leggings and bike shorts w pockets that fit. For me- alllll leggings fall or roll over. It’s my plus size body. It just happens. So GFC leggings and bike shorts falling is nothing different to me. I’m glad they fit and come in cute colors etc.
I adore my Girlfriend Collective sports bras and leggings. I agree with some of the other comments that they need to adjust their sizing, it definitely runs small. I would love to see a series like this on your channel!! Some other brands I'm personally curious about are Mate The Label, For Days, Tentree, Pact, and Organic Basics. Not sure if this would work in the same series but maybe talking about brands that have "sustainable lines" (ex: AE real collection). I'm curious to see if brands are greenwashing or are truly trying to take a step. I also just want to say that I love The whole vibe and style of this video! Its simple yet so aesthetically pleasing.
I bought most of my GFC stuff a year ago so I could attest to the quality, but I recently bought one of their Net-a-porter collections NWT from Poshmark (I tried to get it for the video, but it came too late) and it was definitely a little small. I'm hoping it will stretch out some. So, yeah, I'm definitely seeing that sizing can be hit or miss. Thank you so much!!
I would love a review on some sustainable socks and underwear brands. I had bought some AllBird socks and everything checked on paper what I needed, but I've had to repair every pair as I keep getting a hole in the big toe. Disappointed as the price was much higher than buying a cheaper pack from a big box store that held up much longer.
Wait! This same thing happened to me and I totally contacted the brand to get a replacement. Which ones did you buy? I had the worst time with the warm ones.
@@heatherhull5815 I had gotten the Trino Quarters. I did reach out when my first pair got a hole and they did send a replacement. Later though they all got holes and the ankles wore thin. I've repaired and will continue to repair them for now. My hunt continues for a sustainable sock. Sucks as I bought 5 of them for a hefty amount compared to a cheaper non-sustainable version I bought that has lasted way longer so far.

I love GFC. Recently got a pair of free leggings and love them. I also bought a skort, pocket biker shorts, and Dylan bra. I love the Dylan bra because it can double as a tank top.
I would love to see more of this series! I love my GC pieces! The compressive leggings and sports bra are exactly what I want for working out and being out of the house and I love the luxe legging for a more relaxed fit. Their underwear are the only sustainable underwears I truly enjoy wearing (I’ve tried Parade and Organic Basics and don’t love either). My only con is the opposite of your pro because I’m too short at 5 ft 1 inch😂 so the long leggings bunch at the end and then the shorter length ends at a weird point. And I couldn’t get the biker shorts bc they would be awkwardly long on me. I just bought my first tank top from them so excited to try out their tops!
Been in love with GF for YEARS! Now that is all I wear to workout in. Specifically the 7in biker shorts! They are THE BEST! And the seamless thongs, game changers. Enjoyed the review! Looking forward to more :)

i havent been able to afford buying these new but i did get lucky and was able to get one of their sportsbras and a pair of leggings on thredup and i LOVE THEM. so thick and so soft.

The bras are great, wore one to the gym today. I HATE the leggings. I am an L and they do not stretch in any way. If I am biking in them, they actually pinch. For others, it is the opposite, they can not keep them on, due to no stretch.
4.8 stars is pretty high for undies that do contain mostly plastic. I banned all plastic from my closet, well, there's some plastic in soles, buttons and replacable elastic waist bands, so I only get 100% gots cotton undies nowadays. There are good 100% cotton leggings, but it was easier to do away with leggings and biker shorts. Regular shorts in good cuts work equally well for sports and make you look more dressed at the same time. Biker shorts are never ment as clothes, they are underwear, to wear under something. It also helps in doing away with male gaze. Biker shorts into oblivion! Leggins I sometimes use under shorts or skirts in winter, and the 100% cotton ones are fine for that.

I have hated gfc’s sizing! Especially for the bras. They go up is size but run small. As a larger chested person I always fall out to the point I wouldn’t wear in public and ended up reselling. While I am happy they have plus sizes, are they really plus size if they’re unusable for large bodies?

I love this BUT their seamless underwear that are not thongs are not great. When worn with their leggings, they show a huge line in the back that's super embarrassing. I've never had any other pair of seamless show like that.
