Girls Und Panzer Battle Analysis: Storytelling in the Oarai vs Anzio Battle 

I really do love How Carpaccio and Ceasar were used in the battle and I especially love how they both respected each other enough to not ask each other about their teams Tactics and exploit their friendship

The battle of the underdogs, Oarai who had just recently formed their team and won against Saunders and Anzio who just can't seem to win against any major team. The story telling was amazing here and showed how much Anzio was as a team and how much Oarai would be affected by in the Pravda match. And the bits of development for Rabbit team and Ceaser herself were great. The former pretty much became secondary main characters behind Anglerfish team, and the latter showed more character to a character we never really got much for, especially with her friendship and rivalry with her mirror counterpart in Anzio. This entire OVA was amazing from start to finish and perfectly matches the writing, story, and character development the shown prides itself on. We knew the end, but that didn't matter. The journey along the way was what mattered, regardless of how it was a one-sided turkey shoot(hehe, cause it's Thanksgiving) for Oarai. Happy Thanksgiving Ascendant, and see you in your next video!

For me rabbit team was my favorite group of characters along with Duck team and their Japanese friend. Rabbit grow is what you would have seen in any GI in any conflict, they start by getting scared and panicking eventually they stay in formation and finally they became a full-strength asset to the team, their grow is in itself the grow of the Oorai team itself. if they were to make a sequel and maybe I am getting ahead of myself seeing a second season of Girls und Panzer with Azusa leading a new Oorai team following the steps of Miho and facing new teams and challenges and maybe with even new tanks. And to be honest this doesn't have to follow the original GUP story it would be interesting to see new fighters maybe other secondary nations of the conflict or maybe other German schools using a different combat style or reeling on other types of tanks and strategies. It would be awesome if they did that series something like Cars 3 were the student starts the journey to become the master. and duck team is like a motherly team seeing how her Japanese friend defeated them and they cheer her victory was really touching. one school I think it will be funny if they make an American school based on the 442nd infantry regiment that was formed from American Japanese and they were famous to literally throw themselves into the German defenses almost in Banzai charges. or a Brazilian school. or an allied Italian school that has Shermans fighting alongside Semo Ventes. GUP writters have a ton of posiblities.

When GuP was still on Netflix I watched Der Film after the 1st season, and was completely confused when seeing Anzio. I'm glad I've seen the OVA now, along with the Das Finales.

It's interesting that in the manga the Anzio match is very different. Anzio puts up quite a fight with a clever strategy and the character of Anchovy is also very different (she's an arrogant hothead and a bad loser). I wonder if Anchovy was initially intended to be the antagonist instead of Erika. In the anime and subsequent mangas Anzio is the comic relief and there's a bit of shipping between Caesar and Carpaccio going on (causing the drawing style to suddenly change to the well-known "Shiroi Heya no Futari" yuri style).
